MSIA Ministry
What is the MSIA Ministry?
The MSIA ministry is first and foremost a ministry of service. The specific ministry is chosen by the individual minister in accordance with his or her own inner direction. The MSIA Ministry supports the choice to reach out and assist others in thoughtful, loving, non-inflictive ways. When ordained, each MSIA minister receives a blessing from Spirit that gives spiritual support to their ministry.
Ordination is not for everyone; certainly not every long-time MSIA student becomes a minister. It is for anyone who is committed to a working relationship with the God of their heart and the Mystical Traveler Consciousness (the Spiritual Energy that works with students in MSIA) and considers service as integral in their life.
Becoming an MSIA Minister
The primary prerequisites to becoming an MSIA minister are:
• Minimum of two years committed study with MSIA reading Soul Awareness Discourses.
• Initiation into the Sound Current (or approval for initiation)
• Must be of legal age (varies by locality)
• Commitment to active, ongoing service, usually already in process.
Anyone who fulfills these guidelines may request an application for ordination, which is reviewed by a board of MSIA ministers.

Preparation for the MSIA ministry
Studying Soul Awareness Discourses and establishing and strengthening the connection with the Mystical Traveler Consciousness provide the most important aspects of preparation for ministry. Additional support for gaining greater awareness on the MSIA ministry is available from Peace Theological Seminary (PTS) in the form of courses on the ministry and may be taken in class or retreat formats or by correspondence. Classes are available to those studying MSIA Discourses and include:
