A Foggy Morning

These are some photographs I took when my wife, Christine, and I visited Windermere for a few days before the MSIA Conference.

There was a thick fog all over Windermere on our first morning. It made Windermere look so mystical and it was such a treat for taking photographs. Here is a poem Christine wrote about her experience of that morning:

A Foggy Morning
By Christine Holley

A foggy morning
It was 5 am and I was wide-awake
I made coffee
Stepped outside
The roads were covered in a white, damp, cool mist
I headed down the path
It was like walking in the clouds

I could hear something
I could not see a thing
Then- there they were Clippity Clopping along the road
Just what I was looking for
Windermere Horses!
They emerged from the mist like magic
My day felt complete
A foggy morning

As you can see in one photo we had two of the ranch dogs accompany us for a while.

We had a really nice time hanging out with Lynn Cox and Prince in the Horse Flats. The photo of the horse with a halter on him is Prince. The other photo was one of Princeā€™s lady horse friends.

The photo of the man standing on a rock waving peace signs was a candid photo I took of one of Justin Jayneā€™s crew who were building a stone wall in back of the Garden house while we were there.

Christine took the really nice color photograph of me standing next to Uri.
