Windermere Picnic 2014: So Many Gifts

As I write this I am sitting in the fullness of John Roger’s passing and John Morton’s message to us all. As I am surrounded by the Traveler’s love I am reflecting on last Saturday’s Windermere picnic, the last event that J-R was still on the planet for and how perfect it was.

The assisting team moved into their jobs with the ease of long practice and the attitude of perfection, overseen with meticulous caring by Janet Caminite and Auria Foell. We had a new caterer this year, and the food was magnificent – including organic chicken, BBQ tri tip, and more. The entertainment by Clara Jansky and Matt Van Fossen was refined and beautiful, ending with a bhajan that we sang together. The ponds shimmered with constant motion as the water caressed each new basin in its downhill migration. We also had tours with yours truly and Dave Wright for people to enjoy the many gifts of the land.

And then there was John. There was a sharing and a Q&A session that included support for Insight and Educare, two heart based organizations that have gone forward into the world ministering to all. How great it is to have John with us as we all make the transition of J-R being with us in the physical to being with us (for) ever more present in our hearts.

This year, we also had the opportunity to paint river rocks with a quality of peace as a blessing for the land, for ourselves, or for someone we loved. John Morton placed a blessing on them as a part of Traveler sharing. The rocks that people created were beautiful and vibrant, with qualities such as “Joy”, “I Am”, “Loving”, and more. Next time you’re up at the Ranch, you can now see them around the base of our new peace pole.

After the picnic, there was a Celebration Circle nearby the Island Pond for Constance Leete, one of our Beloved spiritual family who recently passed. It was another opportunity for us to share love as we remembered the blessings that Constance gave to us.

Sitting under the spreading oak trees in the sacred grove made holy by the presence of love, it was not easy to leave the ranch and many of us lingered long after ‘Baruch Bashan’.

Thank you John-Roger for this final gift to us in your living ministry. May we always be attuned to the new gifts of spirit that you continually share. God bless Windermere Ranch and all those touched by J-R’s presence at our place of peace.
