An MSIA Workshop in Kyoto, Japan

Recently, we held our first MSIA-related event in Kyoto, a Meditation Workshop.  Twelve participants (of which 10 were attending their first MSIA meeting) gathered at a beautiful Japanese-style room located near Kyoto Station.  Most of the people came from the Kobe area, just under one hour distance by train from Kyoto.

Participants were introduced to the Light through a Light meditation, Ani-Hu through outward and inward chanting, and a simple exercise that I learned from John-Roger about 43 years ago that enhances centering and focusing.  We finished with a resounding chant of the “e” sound.

The workshop was mostly experiential, and each participant was given a Japanese version of the MSIA introductory pamphlet to take with them.  The energy was very sweet and people seemed to be shining after each of the exercises.  We plan to hold our second meeting in July, after I return to Kyoto from Conference.
