A Time for Peace: A Concert for Us All at Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens

Arriving early at Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens is always a good idea. Two words: parking and seating.  We came prepared to be amazed and delighted, and this Concert did not disappoint.

Imagined and created by four talented musical artists, the evening was a heady melange of instrumental and vocal offerings that were by turns wildly free, romantic and uplifting, intense, soothing, intriguing, and at times approaching “other worldly.”

Artists included Tony Selvage, who played an electric violin; Alethea Lamb, on clarinet (with a sitar-like drone echoing the Indian subcontinent); Merrill Collins on grand piano, and Clara-Beatriz J.R. Jansky, singing and playing chimes, rain stick, and drum.

Overall, the music was glorious, and gave us much to inspire us and fire our imaginations. During the Intermission, freshly baked cookies and tea were served in the dining room, and a delightful fellowship was available to all.

Many thanks to those who organized this Concert, and the entire concert series at Peace Awareness Labyrinth and Gardens. Join in next time – you’ll be delighted.
