Successful Practice of the Sound Current

In the seminar “Successful Practice of the Sound Current,” John Morton, Spiritual Director of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness, talked about the most essential practice of listening to the Sound Current–the audible lifestream of God. John chose to open with some especially poignant video clips of MSIA Founder John-Roger explaining how to listen inwardly through spiritual exercises–MSIA’s form of deep meditation.

We heard John speak once again of the practical aspect of listening to the Sound Current–practice is essential. And what’s important about living on planet earth? Life in the physical on earth is meant to get us into the next level of consciousness. And to open a channel to help us awaken to our Soul’s purpose.

He highly recommended the book by John-Roger, Walking with the Lord , as it contains many practical keys including a chart of the realms of Spirit. He also recommended J-R’s book, Inner Worlds of Meditation so we could read about the value of chanting the names of God.

John went on to explain that the Sound Current is the very source–of God’s energy. And how important it is to do all things in God’s name. To pray that the highest good take place. While doing spiritual exercises, John encouraged us to stay present–stay awake, to let go and let God. And to do everything in this world in cooperation with God.

There were so many priceless nuggets of encouragement and wisdom in this seminar, excerpts from John-Roger and lovely creative contributions as well.

To close, John said there’s a plan in place for us to come into glory–that is the truth of who we are. That was so comforting for me to hear. That even today I can experience the glory of God, the glory of myself in cooperation with God, the glory of knowing I am the Beloved in God. “Be still and know that I am God.” Baruch Bashan, the blessings already are.
