Light Snowfall in Boulder

I’m doing photos at the fundraiser Q&A in Boulder, walking around, watching, looking for good moments. What I observe is familiar to me now at MSIA events: People from different walks of life arrive with their baggage, separated by their stories and maybe a bit wearied by the world or numbed by the mechanisms of daily life. And gradually they’re warmed, relaxed, softened and sensitized. The photos get better, the faces more interesting. More human, less mechanical. There’s a oneness, a comforting and softening that comes in an invisible snowfall of Light. People eat, sleep, meditate, awaken, take notes. They go in and out of the body, gently launched by John’s soft voice and fueled by a building spiritual energy. Eyes glisten, close for a while, then re-open even shinier than before, until another launching shutters them again.

It’s a cozy combination of good food, good company, laughter and spiritual insight.

A lot of these kinds of articles mention what John talked about, but I don’t remember what he said—partly because I’m focused on the energy and the higher consciousness, and partly because what other people say is rarely as interesting as what’s going on inside me. (Some people tell me that’s a problem, but I’m having a good time in here so I don’t care.)

Most of what John says is tailored to the questioner or others in the room (or maybe people who aren’t in the room physically), and sometimes he says something that applies to me, my ears perk up, and I listen. I take what’s for me and leave the rest, as J-R has often suggested. And sometimes I don’t listen. I’d say that how often I listen is probably similar to how often anyone listens to a spouse—and who listens to everything? (This is a relationship, after all.)

It’s always been this way for me with the Traveler. It addresses each consciousness, and its relationship with each consciousness is personal. The intimacy of the relationship is miraculous, and the implications of it are mind-boggling—because not only the Traveler’s words, but daily events, the people I meet, and the difficulties I encounter during the day are set up with a similar precision. And that would mean that, as John-Roger said in The Spiritual Promise, “every aim and every goal of every atom on this planet, or anywhere else, is to usher you back into your own personal kingdom, where you are the god of your own universe—where you are divine in all your levels of consciousness.”

That’s an amazing statement. That means that an atom in China has my spiritual awakening as its goal. Or a molecule in Brazil. Or a toad in Denver. Or a gazelle in Africa. Or my neighbor’s dog. Or my neighbor. Hmmm…maybe I should be paying attention to what other people say after all. But I can’t pay attention to all the atoms, molecules, animals or people. So I have to be selective, which means listening, discerning, getting the lesson from what’s happening around me.

At this point I realize that another ten minutes of the Q&A has gone by and I was listening to my own seminar inside—which is another way I’ve found that the Traveler works. The seminars are inner, outer, all around, but the contact with the energy at an event like this inspires and enhances them. It creates a space, an outer vacuum so the inner rushes out; and it also stimulates and awakens the whole consciousness, so that new and old, positive and negative aspects of me and of my spirit are released. And they’re not just released, because that could be painful if the negative stuff comes up and just hangs around. Then I’d be sitting in my own junk. But instead, after they’re released they’re dispersed, dematerialized, and they seem to disappear—which is another function of the Traveler: the magical, hocus-pocus side that makes things disappear.

Luckily it’s the negative stuff that disappears and the positive stays. And luckily John’s body is there because the negativity goes to the one holding the energy for the room. Thanks, John. And thanks to all involved who poured their energy into this Light vortex where we all could lift.
