Service and Volunteering
"If you don't like the level you're on, move to a higher one. The higher one can be reached through meditation, through spiritual exercises. And it can be reached most definitely through service."
- John Roger (From: Serving & Giving, Gateways to Higher Consciousness)
Volunteers have been the backbone of MSIA since it started. We wouldn't be the great organization we are today without them. We have often said that our volunteers carry the Spirit of MSIA. We continue to be a healthy, growing Church and we need more assistance from volunteers.
The world has changed these last few years due to the rapid advance of the Internet. Thanks to the computer and the Internet, we are able to have MSIA staff live in different parts of the country and be able to keep in touch with them as if they were in the same building. We would love to have many volunteers working with us in the same way. But even if you do not have a computer, there are still volunteer jobs that you can do that would really help us out.
If you live in the Los Angeles area you are welcome to come to MSIA's headquarters at Peace Labyrinth & Gardens to serve. You can also contact us by phone (323) 737-4055 or email Mandy Weis for more information about volunteer opportunities at MSIA's headquarters.
You can also serve through our related organizations: Peace Theological Seminary, The Heartfelt Foundation and The Institute for Individual & World Peace.
Thanks and we love our volunteers!
"The willingness to Serve is not sitting home saying 'Call Me'. The willingness to serve is getting up and knocking on the door of the place and saying 'Is there something here I can do to assist you?' That is the willingness to Serve. It's not just clear intention; it's intention made clear, by going and presenting yourself to that idea."
