This Soul Awareness seminar is made up of two short seminars given by John-Roger in 1972. They are part of J-R’s early teachings which are as alive today as they were then: part of the Traveler’s consistent and ever-living message of practical spirituality and soul transcendence.
In the first seminar, THE DIVINE PLAY (Aug.’72), J-R states, “Everyone for the most part desires attention, a sense of prestige, an urging towards power, and a great need for a personal love: a personal knowing. These actions are present even right now. But if we play in the divine comedy, we play the fool. And if we play in the divine play, then we are fulfilling ourselves and our names will be emblazoned in Light.” So right there is the challenge: express on the life stage our very ego-driven humanness, or live out our life’s play from a view of our inner divinity.
The second seminar, PEACE BE STILL (June’72), takes the message of the divine play even deeper. In this seminar, J-R says, “When we say, peace be still, we’re not talking about the physical, the emotional, the mental, the etheric body. Because those are in a constant state of vibration and motion. So when we say ‘Peace be Still and Know that I Am God,’ then all we’re saying is, peace is when all of these areas are in balance: when the sexual, physical, emotional, mental forces in the etheric body come into a cohesive unit and balance. And that is peace on the physical level.
