“We say, ‘Gee, I’ve really been growing.’ And then some wise one says, ‘How?’ And you say, ‘Inwardly, spiritually.’ And they say, ‘Oh, hogwash. C’mon, don’t give me that stuff. Prove it to me. Show me.’ And you say, ‘Well, I don’t really have an outward indicator.’ And then, you see, they dismiss you as a nincompoop, and a candidate for the funny farm.”

That’s John-Roger, explaining in his colorful way what we encounter as we recognize and nourish our spiritual gifts. He continues, “I’m in a position of trying to explain to you a very specialized and particular way of growing that does not necessarily demonstrate itself out there until a situation arises and you have to call upon that skill and training. And when you reach into this power, or this ability that you’ve developed and you bring it forward and use it, you may say, ‘My God! Where did that come from?’ It came from the schooling of many incarnations, of many existences, of many trainings.” Think of that. We’ve been preparing our spiritual gifts for a very long time!

What are some of the spiritual gifts J-R mentions? He says, “This does not necessarily mean a talent, like playing the piano or singing and dancing or writing a book. The spiritual gift could be one of understanding when people talk. It could be one of empathy in which you reach in with somebody and hold them steady as they work through a problem. It could be just being able to smile at people. It might be working out of your heart center with love and letting the love just flow out to people without saying a word.”

How about you? Are you handling your spiritual gifts? Be supported and encouraged by J-R’s seminar.

God Bless You!
