For many, many years, John-Roger has encouraged MSIA students and participants to use the teachings as practical spirituality. He offers us the road map for how to live our lives in a way that serves us the best…and serves others as well.
In this seminar, given by John-Roger amidst the tall trees and beauty of nature found at Lake Arrowhead in California, J-R makes this statement, “We are God’s foremost creation on this planet. We are the flower of flowers and we have all the essence and all the purity inside of us — all of it. But it may take some doing to find that. It can be very difficult.”
The first key J-R offers is that of honesty. “We look at honesty,” J-R says, “in terms of being with what really is happening. And if you are really with what is happening, and you really are being who you are, then it is all spiritually perfect.”
OK, so first step: observe and move to the attitude of things being what they are — perfect, since they are as God created.
J-R continues, “Now humans are problem makers and problem solvers and we think that we’re here to solve problems. Well, we’re not. We are here to experience this part of God’s Kingdom and to learn the lessons involved here, not to create problems. You see, when we have hard times come upon us, that is when we get strength and build our strongest places. It is rare that we build a strong place when everything is going fine.”
