Spirit comes in first through the breath, then into nerves, into the blood, into the muscles, then into the bones.
The breath is a key to letting in the Spirit.
PTS has been offering IHOP (Intuition, Health, Openness, Possibility) classes since 2011. Have you ever wondered what IHOP is all about or maybe you just wanted to try out a class?
We have a amazing opportunity coming up and are inviting YOU to join us In Person in Los Angeles, OR Live Stream, OR via Recording for a two-day IHOP-5 class.
You do not have to have taken an IHOP class before!
The Radiant Body, Temple of the Soul: The Symphony of the Spine.
On Friday, September 9, we welcome our fascia expert, Joanne Avison, who will lead a one-day IHOP-5 class called the Symphony of the Spine. This class will explore the wonder of the spine, its musical nature and how we can bring it more alive – and keep it healthy and tuned up, so that our movements “sing”.
What is the class about?
Posture and alignment underpin every movement we make and play a huge part in our ease of movement and coordination, helping the body perform more efficiently and with less risk of wear and tear, spinal pain, joint restriction and soft-tissue injuries. No matter how old we are, or what shape our body is in, we can always make improvements towards better posture and alignment. Not only does it look lovely, it also provides a way of moving with less strain and less muscle fatigue, allowing us more energy for everything we do – including spiritual exercises.
The principles of good posture and alignment apply to any movement or environment. In this class we will be learning the shape and feel of aligning and moving our body when we sit, stand and walk. It’s a lifestyle choice that will benefit us for the rest of our lives.
“Fascia is the connective tissue of the body that includes our skin. Fascia is the computer system of the body. It links all of the body together in one big system. The largest organ in the body is the skin. The fascia tissue is what connects the muscles with our underlying structure. It’s so instantaneous that we can have a report out of our body to our sense mechanism through the fascia, immediately.
When fascia is moved by a bodyworker, or sometimes even by ourselves, it releases signals that we receive in our mind – pictures of the past, traumas, holding patterns, etc. It’s showing us why we hold, because it’s releasing. It’s like hitting a computer button that says, “Here comes this information.” So when we get into the type of position where we’re relaxed, these mechanisms are all being alerted to share input.”
