On a beautiful hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee, traditional site where Jesus gave the Beatitudes, J-R suggests looking at the Beatitudes as "attitudes of being" and comments on them for our day. On the Mount of Olives, above the walled city of Jerusalem, our Israeli guide, Benji, brings alive Jerusalem's ancient mystery with the story of God's test of Abraham where the Golden Dome of the Rock now stands. In the peaceful garden thought to be the site of Jesus' tomb, J-R compares and comments on the various Gospel stories of the death, entombment, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ.
