The Blessing Disguised as the Curse (Apr. '81)
Check out this very revealing seminar, where John-Roger just lays it on the line.
“If you’re not pleasing yourself by being who you are, I’ve got some sad news for you: that’s tough! Because that’s all there is. If you haven’t found that place yet inside of you that is full and brilliant, that’s tough, because that’s all there is.”
Too harsh? J-R softens the blow just a little by explaining, “That’s all there is for everybody on all the levels of consciousness—the bright, brilliant radiance of our beingness.” He then goes on to explain the very irony of being human. “We are a blessing disguised as a curse. We look in the mirror and we go pimples, zit, eye brows out, like, ‘I hate my body. I mean God, I hate that, nyahh, nyahh, nyahh.’ And inside resides the doorway to the Kingdom of Heaven, to the consciousness of God and upliftment, to the Soul of God’s essence, to the energy of the Holy Spirit right through there.” If we can just look past the physical, past the illusion, past the mirror, past the curse.
