Recorded during a Conference Rep meeting in the year 2000, MSIA spiritual director John Morton shares the thought process and methodology behind how this organization is staffed, and the different ways people can participate in these works.
In this sharing, John lovingly invites us to consider how you are representing this organization, while discussing an innumerable number of considerations involved in that, such as logistics, the attitudes we hold, how we answer people’s questions, the overall vision, and much more.
After being in service to the movement for so many years, John encapsulates his perception of this work in this way. “Here I am today. I have not found anything better in the world to direct myself into. And look what it’s got me doing now. Like ‘Well, ok, we’ll put you in charge.’ That means you have charge. That’s responsibility. Everybody who is here has been given charge and issued charge. And if you accept it, that charge is a spark. It’s an inspiration; it’s movement and direction to get involved.”
