In dialogue with a group of Prana residents in 1983, John-Roger uses this seminar to make the case for "watching out that your mind doesn't get you trapped down here below the eyebrows!" Instead, he encourages us to make loving our principal focus.
Several readings from the Bible lay the foundation for what J-R has to say about how we are to conduct ourselves as Light bearers. "Be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you," is one such passage. "Did you hear in there the teachings of the Traveler?" J-R asks.
Throughout the seminar, J-R names several Travelers from the past. Then he himself reads from a version of the Bible, " 'Seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.' Do you understand what Soul Transcendence is? Do you understand why we do that rather than other things? This is how you do it."
Toward the end of the seminar, J-R says, "I saved this last little part for myself to read. 'Make love your aim and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts.' That one I know real well and I've taken the teaching of the Travelers and brought it down into everyday language so that you could understand it in terms of this time and this place. And there may not be another time and another place where this will be done this way."
