This is a seminar direct from The Mystical Traveler in which John-Roger lists and demonstrates tools for living life with more ease and grace. He begins this way, “We start the seminar at eight o’clock as a rule, and at ten o’clock, I release my connection with the spiritual consciousness that I work with. And so I ask everyone around me to keep that discipline, because I know that unless we enter into levels of discipline, we do not accomplish those things that we have set out for ourselves.”
“All I do,” J-R says, “is tap into the source of consciousness and present it to you. You can do anything that you wish with the information: accept it or reject it. You can analyze it and take it apart. And it’s quite all right with me because I am not personally involved with the information; I am very impersonally involved with it.”
Having said that, he lists some of those attributes that are of great help as we walk the spiritual path through our daily lives. He addresses the roadblock of defensiveness, the value of the dream state, the usefulness of looking for meaning behind the words, and the necessity of recognizing and abandoning attitudes we may have. He offers a checklist for practical living.
“Let us just recap these very fast,” J-R says toward the end. “Find no pleasure in negative people or events. Snap the spell of mental movies — the movies of negativity. Hey, and don’t try to live a movie. Live reality; you can’t get away from it. Realize the necessity for spiritual awakening. Have no concern for your status with others. Realize your world is inside of you. Observe your changing states of mind; you’ll probably be rather elated. Do not grumble against anything that happens. And remember, I’m always with you, I never leave."
