John-Roger’s Seven Challenges for Seven Days

Don’t believe what I tell you, use your own intellect and check out for yourself what I say. If it works for you, use it. If not, put it aside and try something else. – John-Roger

This article was first published in Rod & Staff, November 1988.

In the Soul Awareness Tape for May of 1988, “Seven Challenges for Seven Days,” John-Roger gave seven challenges for seven days, and we share them briefly with you here.

J-R has said many times, “Don’t believe what I tell you, use your own intellect and check out for yourself what I say. If it works for you, use it. If not, put it aside and try something else. Then you can live your life based on the wisdom and knowledge you have gained from your own experience.”

We offer these challenges to you if you wish to check them out:

Sunday: Observe your mind changing, going from one point to another point, altering, developing, growing, but don’t get involved in it. Observe it.

Monday: Accept whatever comes your way; don’t grumble against anything that happens to you. If it happens, it happens. Go on about your business. Keep flowing.

Tuesday: Don’t find pleasure in other people’s hurts. Stand clear.

Wednesday: When you get up in the morning and, in your mind, start putting on the “film” that you’re going to observe for the day, put on the film that shows you completing the day in perfect good time.

Thursday: Make it a day where you realize the necessity for spiritual awakening.

Friday: Don’t look back over the week and be concerned about how well you succeeded with other humans. Have no concern about your human success. Keep your focus on what you can do and what you are doing.

Saturday:  To end a beautiful week, realize that your world is inside of you. Radiate your inner Light; build it; let it shine.
