All is well in the world of MSIA.
We celebrated John Morton’s 70th birthday (just a little early) with a wonderful Windermere fun-raiser at John and Leigh’s home on October 23. You can watch all of the fun online here if you didn’t get to see it live. It was a love letter to Windermere ranch, the Santa Barbara property where John-Roger spent many joyous times working with horses and MSIA students, too. In a special surprise, John shared the publication of the new expanded edition of his book, Blessings Here and Now, which is available for sale in the MSIA store here. We will let you know when the Spanish translation edition will be published.
One of these days the pandemic will be over enough for us all to meet together again. We are constantly tracking the latest information and guidance for public meetings. The Windermere picnic event held outdoors on October 31 allowed us to actually gather in a relatively large group outside for the first time in over a year. MSIA’s annual conference in 2022 is still very tentative for physical meetings, but there will definitely be a terrific online gathering regardless of what is allowed for physical meetings. Most importantly, we have a theme for next year and the Conference: The Conference of Joy, Fun and Laughter.
MSIA recently had some problems receiving the Business Reply Mail tithing envelopes that people use in the United States to send in their tithing donation checks. This process through the US Postal Service (USPS) has served us well for many years, but we had been noticing it was getting increasingly less reliable, particularly during the pandemic. It appears the recent major problem has been mostly resolved, but the situation gave us the opportunity to revisit our use of this special USPS service.
We have chosen to move away from using Business Reply Mail envelopes and are in the process of printing new envelopes that will be addressed directly to MSIA at Prana. They will still be postage paid, but with an actual First Class stamp instead of an arrangement with the Post Office. One of our joyful givers was even moved to donate a roll of 100 First Class Forever stamps to the Church upon hearing of the situation!
If you still have old tithing envelopes in your possession that are addressed to PO Box 513935, we ask that you please recycle them. You can email Accounting@msia.org or enclose a note with your next donation requesting new envelopes and we will send you some as soon as they are in hand. In the meantime, the new address to send donations is: MSIA, 3500 West Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90018.
If you use a BillPay service through your bank or a brokerage to send your donations, we would appreciate you updating our mailing address with them to 3500 West Adams Blvd. You may also consider taking this opportunity to try out donating online or via the MSIA App. For those of you outside the United States online is the best option, followed by TransferWise in countries where it is available.
There is a banquet of seminars, classes, and meditations available online these days between THAT WHICH IS, MSIA live streaming, and PTS courses. And, of course, every weekday there is Blessing This Day with John Morton and Leigh. In addition, folks have been gathering from all over the world and enjoying the weekly online Transcendent Self meditation sessions with Paul Kaye. The meditations, which are open to the public and are simultaneously translated into Spanish, are on Mondays and Thursdays, Noon – 1 PM (PT), and are followed by an optional 15-30 mins of community sharing. You can also join Paul and the community one hour before the meditations at 11 AM (PT) for Tea and Overtones on Monday, and Coffee Talk on Thursdays. Feel free to invite your friends and family. You can sign up here.
As always, please join us in placing it all in the Light for the Highest Good. And thank you for standing together in God’s Light, love and Sound, sharing the grace of the Traveler’s teachings throughout the world.
The MSIA Presidency – Paul, Vincent, and Mark.
