A John-Roger Seminar In New York City

Article imageAfter a day at the Peace Workshop in New York and also attending Millennium Peace Day at the United Nations, John Morton and John-Roger returned to the heart of NYC to hold an MSIA seminar. This seminar was a true East Coast event with a big turnout from Philly, Boston and many other areas. Howard White was the entertainment–and entertain he did.

Ann Webre, the MSIA representative in New York City, was emcee. Ann announced that Frannie Rutherford is the new MSIA co-representative in New York City. Angel Gibson filled us in on three East Coast booksignings with John-Roger and John Morton this week, and also about upcoming trips to France and Japan.

We watched a beautiful video on the Kyoto trip from March 2000. We also saw the video of John’s “The Blessings Already Are,” book tour, and a very funny video called “Tithing 2000.” Mary Jane Wyss led us in a group song and the whole group sang Happy Birthday to John-Roger.

Then, John-Roger led a wonderful seminar. I heard J-R mention that every seminar has 15,000 to 30,000 topics, and in my opinion, this seminar was no exception. After the seminar, Connie Stomper said: “J-R was so sweet and playful and funny and loving and loveable. It was one of my very first times sitting in the front row at a John-Roger seminar and I just could not keep my eyes open!” Now, doesn’t that sum up a J-R seminar perfectly?
