Heartfelt Foundation’s Holiday Service Projects

Article imageMy Dear Family,

By the time you read this article, Heartfelt will be fully engaged with preparations for our annual holiday service projects. The success of these projects depends on your physical support. Without your willing hands and joyful hearts to lend to the resources we gather, the projects will fall short.
In Los Angeles, Heartfelt’s Thanksgiving Service Project will be held on Saturday, November 18. We will again focus on feeding hungry families with children, and this year our goal is to provide food for 750 families. Hundreds of our local donors will prepare baskets of holiday food to give to their recipient families at our annual celebratory event in Santa Monica on November 18th.
You can participate from anywhere in the world by sending donations. You will be given the name of your recipient family and Heartfelt volunteers will purchase market gift certificates to give to your family in your name.

$125 will provide a full holiday meal for a family of 4
$175 will provide a full holiday meal for a family of 6
$250 will provide a full holiday meal for a family of 8
$500 will provide a full holiday meal for 4 families of 4
$1,000 will provide a full holiday meal for 4 families of 8 or 8 families of 4
$2,500 will provide a full holiday meal for 10 families of 8 or 20 families of 4

Send your donations to The Heartfelt Foundation earmarked “Thanksgiving” and let us know the number of hungry families you wish to feed. If you cannot take a family on your own, perhaps your co-workers, fellow students, family members or friends will join you.
For those of you in the Los Angeles area, your volunteer support would be most welcomed and appreciated in managing this very large project. Call us early!

Heartfelt’s Global Christmas Service Project will be held during the week of December 16-23, 2000. We again invite all MSIA areas and cities around the world to join this grace-filled period of planetary giving and unconditional loving and hold a Heartfelt service project—small or large—in your community.
Please let the Heartfelt Headquarters office know of your participation so that we can all remain aware of the extent we reach around the world that week. Before your project, call, write or email us with your city, coordinators, date of your event, and what you’re doing. After your project, please send us a brief write-up and photos right away, so that we can get you in the next issue of the New Day Herald. Videos would be great as well, so that we can expand our current video to include your area.

In Los Angeles, the Christmas Service Project is on Saturday, December 16. We will be returning to the Skid Row area where 3,000 homeless or extremely at-risk children await our loving volunteers and the huge party we will put on for them.
Again, volunteer participation is needed for project planning, gathering toy and gift donations, shopping, wrapping 3,000 toys and gifts starting December 1, and coordinating many aspects of this event. Please contact the Heartfelt office to participate and have a great time! Heartfelt is at: 2101 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 117, Santa Monica, CA 90403, (310) 829-7857 phone, (310) 829-7208 fax, and our email is serve@heartfelt.org.

Thank you for helping us meet our goals of service and extend our blessings and abundance to those with so little. God bless you!

In loving gratitude,
Patti Rayner
