Babies, Blessings and Brunch

Article imageDecember 10, 2000, dawned bright in Pacifica, California. The meeting room at the Lighthouse Hotel was jam packed with tables for 190 MSIA ministers and initiates ready to enjoy a Question and Answer session with John Morton and John-Roger, and then partake of an extensive buffet and camaraderie. We were surprised and delighted to find two baby blessings added to the schedule. Alia Elizabeth Babinet and Heavenly Dunsheath-Reyna were both blessed by John Morton, with John-Roger standing by. Both babies were precious and their blessings beautiful.
John-Roger and John Morton took questions from a number of attendees. Here are a few gems I picked up:

See things from a hard place for only three minutes maximum. Then it is time to find the blessings. The longer you stay in a complaining place, the harder it is to be joyful. — John-Roger

If you don’t put anything on emotions, they dissolve. — John Morton

Richard Mitz of Denver said, “There was so much generosity present in the room. It was so tangible.” Joanna Schulman of San Francisco said, “The Travelers were entertaining, but with so much personal care and touching. It was very, very sweet.”
