Double Author Book Event with John-Roger & John Morton in Pasadena

Article imageJohn-Roger and John Morton “knocked ’em dead” or should I say “awake” in Pasadena at the Pasadena Borders bookstore on October 18. The dynamic duo alternated in sharing about their own and each other’s books, rapping back and forth, teasing, bantering, telling jokes, taking sharings, beaming Spirit, bringing tears and laughter out to many in the group who had gathered from all parts of the greater (and I do mean “greater” ) Los Angeles area. Old timers and newcomers alike sat on chairs, many on the floor, or stood as the evening unfolded. The Borders event coordinator, Michael Graziano, was simply amazed at the numbers who showed for the talk and signing. He had thought perhaps 30 would come, and over 75 people packed the talk area.

The hot-selling books were the newly released “Relationships” and “Divine Essence” books that have just come into the bookstores, and the store sold out of the “Loving Each Day” book as well as “Relationships” and “Divine Essense” with only a few remaining of the “Blessings” books. Phil Danza, Greg Fritz, Deborah Martinez and Doug Gibson were a seamless, flowing sound and video team. As I looked around the crowd there were many, many faces of steady supporters such as, Genie Ford, Laren Bright, Joe Ann Cain, John and Margalit Ward and Nathan, Juliana Rose and Liz Bixby. Even Dr. Steve Small and Alan Ross made it across the highways and byways, persevering through incredible stand-still traffic to be with us.

We were blessed in many ways as J-R talked in a deeply profound way of loving and reminded us that “We have the responsibility to love and choose loving.” And John asked us to open, and allow ourselves to be vulnerable tonight to receive a special blessing that he brought to us on the spot. And in the material world we were blessed by an anonymous gifting of 1 free book for every two that were bought so there was lots of buying, for which we are so grateful and appreciative. At the end of the evening the event coordinator, Michael, told John Morton how special the evening had been to have both J-R and John present. Michael said that “something different took place here tonight and he was a little in awe of it.” We thinks he caught the Spirit of the occasion alright.
