eNDH Readers Rave About China Trip Daily Updates

In response to our Editor’s Note on the final China Trip update yesterday, we received many emails from NDH.org readers thanking the eNDH and David Sand for his awesome reporting and photographing of the 18 days of the China Trip with the Travelers. Here are some highlights from those responses:

"Thanks so much for all the time and hard work I’m sure you put into the daily China reports. At the first pictures from Beijing, my eyes filled with tears. I could see my friends at places I had been 17 years ago! And then the rest of the trip unfolded. We were in the mountains of Utah and checking in on the trip to China every day. I felt energetically absorbed into the journey. One day I went into Park City and found myself shopping for Chinese art and eating at a not so good Chinese restraint without realizing why until later. I have heard so many people tell me how closely they have followed the daily reports…what a great thing. Many kudos to David Sand, his dedication and his thoroughly enjoyable and engaging writing. And many thanks to all involved who I don’t know about." – S.C.

"Can’t really express the depth of my gratitude to humble reporter David Chi-Sand-Lo and webmaster Deb Martinez-chan. I felt as if I was there in the trip with everybody. It also helped me to hold a focus of Light and love towards the trip and everybody involved in it. It was absolutely awesome. David’s reports were so honest, funny, real and most of all genuine. The images were fantastic but the writing added such a color and LIFE to all. Thanks, thanks, thanks. These reports were a gift to all our family around the world." – A.M.V.

"I don’t know how to thank David Sand enough, or the web-mistress either, or the gods of the Internet/digital cameras – but I want more, more, more. As soon as I win the Lottery I will be on every trip with J-R and John Morton and the other Light bearers. This was definitely second best. I think David Sand got some kind of a service award at the June MSIA Conference – if not, then I’ll nominate him now, for a second, third, fourth, fifth award! I’m trying to think of what was my favorite, but really it was that I/we were included in the Traveler’s Light work this way (plus David’s sense of humor and insights – well, EVERYTHING!)" – T.H.

"It has been a joy to read/see/feel the China trip of "peace makers" through the sensibilities/humor/spirit of David Sand. In a way I am sorry the China tour has reached closure because I so look forward to hangin’ out each day with David and all. Perhaps David might come up with some sort of excuse back here in ye golden marshmallow to continue sharing his insights and outta sights ’cause wherever our bodies are, we’re travelin’ with the Travelers." – R.E.

"The China articles and pictures by David Sand have been wonderful. Not only are the pictures and David’s words funny, beautiful and inspiring, but they have allowed us to feel close to the group and they’ve also allowed us to send Light in a more focused way. While we’ve always paid attention to where our group travels and have sent Light to those locations, this is a great way to get a much more direct experience. It’s been terrific! More, more, more!" – W.P.

"Thanks for the great opportunity of sharing the China trip as it was unfolding. Closing the gap of time and space made it all so close at hand and real. I often felt as if I was moving on the adventure with you. The photos and the story line, with your impressions David, made it very special." – S.S.

"Thank you so much! I enjoyed the photos with people in them the most. Your thoughts on your travels were thought provoking. Made me laugh, too. Full of love for your subject. Would I want to go to China now? Probably not. Although eel soup must have its charms. Again, most appreciative of your taking the time to do this for all of us. A wonderful treat in the middle of my work day!" – M.S.

"Please continue to do these virtual tours for the homebodies back in the USA. It really helped me to feel more connected to the work that MSIA is doing throughout the world. Thank you for your hard work and God bless." – S.B.

"What a great blessing to have a direct connection from Caracas to China and being part of a wonderful trip. I enjoyed each picture and David Sand’s reports every afternoon…!!!" – A.

"The China trip photos and David Sand’s "tripologue" were awesome! As a former PAT IV traveler, this was totally great, to be able to share in the trip from my computer at home and at work. What a wonderful way to share the joy and loving of traveling with the Travelers." – C.W.

"Thank you so much for the wonderful reporting and pictures of the China trip! Having been very blessed to be a participant on a few of the various Light trips, I ALWAYS want to be a part of them, but alas this one came just too very close to the due date of my first, long awaited child. But how fabulous for my in utero babe and myself to be able to take the trip via laptop while we were/are in "waiting" mode!! What a blessing! I even had dreams about it and felt VERY connected to all there. I also enjoyed David’s wry sense of humor and observations. THANK YOU ,THANK YOU,THANK YOU!!!!!" – L.D-R.

"I wish I had some sort of photo journalistic award for David for the excellent reporting during this trip! I looked forward each day to a new report. I hope he will expand this journal and would love to see it published. His pictures and comments caused me to pause and consider how life in China compares to life elsewhere on the planet. And the following quotation from his last report from Hong Kong, reminded me of my job on this planet:

‘To me, our job here is to bring the Light, and what’s going on outwardly is an amusing show that’s placed here for our enjoyment while the real work goes on. I see it as a kind of seeding or tithing, where I put my body on the line without any thought of return, and then it’s returned to me many fold. And as the trip unravels and the outer situations become funnier and more absurd, the inner sense of Light and love grows and grows.’

Many thanks to the Travelers on this trip. The Blessings continue!" – R.B.

"Thank you thank you thank you! I felt so connected with the inner and outer trip, and I really loved that. Your photos were superb, and your commentary a wonderful balance between humor and sacredness, between objective reporting and subjective experiences. Your efforts were truly a gift to me and I’m sure to many many more." – M.B.

"Totally Awesome! I loved getting the eNDH every day and following the China trip. And a better correspondent I don’t know. David’s witty, clever, talented both with words and images–a rare combination, I think. Keep it up! I feel almost like I was there and reminded regularly to send the Light. It’s a magnificent use of modern technology with the very personal, humorous touch of David’s on-the-scene commentary. That ‘humble correspondent’ has won my heart–again! Good work!" – C.J.

"I laughed out loud practically every day (when I had e-mail access) as I read David’s droll, funny, and incredibly insightful comments about the trip, the Travelers and crew, and his reactions and responses to what he was experiencing. This was a great contribution to those of us who had the sense to stay home this time. All the fun without all the aggravation." – S.D.

"Thank you for including us all in your experience on the China trip. How grateful I am to be able to be at my computer at work and receive an email with each days adventure! You made this particular trip with the Traveler’s accessible to all of us thru your loving joy and willingness to go the extra mile (sometimes running), while getting images and descriptions of this peace mission to us as you demonstrate what I recall is a definition of a Minister: Steady as the North star and Flexible as the Wind. Well Done and, thanks for sharing so gracefully this wondrous service John-Roger and John Morton do each and everyday – even when they’re not in China!" – K.S.B.

"My heartfelt thanks for your wonderful correspondence throughout the trip to China. It’s been delightful to have your contacts each day. They’ve been entertaining, enlightening, and best of all, have helped me to hold the focus of sending my Light to you Peaceful Travelers on your journey, and to the people and environment of China. I have felt a strong connection to you all over the past weeks, and am so grateful for being including in this magnificent trip." – K.M.

"I have written before but couldn’t resist the invitation to tell you how very much I appreciate the service of David Sand during the China Tour. My health is sensitive and I have never been able to go on any tours during my 13 years in MSIA. The wonderful pictures and words that David sent were a way for me to be there. To continue to send light and love, and as they were updated daily it was a very special thing, rather than waiting for the print version, as Lovely as THAT is ! I had the NDH page as my homepage for the tour and could hardly wait in the morning to see what was there. I learned lots about China, from a different perspective, too. All the pictures were good but, hey J-R was the favorite! Especially him with his brother, earlier in the tour. Also the gardens and the Li river and those magical mountains. So thank you David ! I felt that I was there, too. In fact I know I was! The pics just gave me an outward focus as I also joined the inner work from here in Sydney." – I.C.

"Oh my God, this was so incredibly awesome David. I felt in my own little way that I was able to be a part of the trip and to send Light and to be involved. There are no words sufficient enough to Thank You for all of your commentary. All of it…Shots of the countryside, participants, J-R and John…So awesome…..I would anxiously check my watch everyday for around 2:00pm, our time your pics and commentary would arrive, and I couldn’t wait………I felt like a treasured participant and I am so grateful……Thank you New Day Herald. Please continue this if you can with other trips, it was such a treasure and hopefully I was able to assist in my little way by sending the Light and being so aware of China and all of you there." – A.R.

"Magical! Every word, every image took my heart right along on the journey of the Travelers and all the Peace Makers in China and the blessings they were there to manifest. I am truly grateful for David’s wonderful Ministry to us all by creating the way to bring this pilgrimage closer to home." – C.R.

"Thank you David for being a guide for my virtual trip to China with the Traveler’s! I loved every minute I spent glued to the screen, and from my participation, took into my physical life much upliftment and joy which sustained me until the next installment. There is only one thing better than viewing one day’s guide notes, and that is when I find that I can view the next day’s notes too….although the incredible ‘movie set’ scenery is right up there….God Manifest in nature." – M.H.

"It has been my pleasure to read about the China trip with the Travelers!! Being with the Travelers is always a joy whether it be in the flesh or in the spirit. I have looked forward to downloading the trip each day with anticipation. David Sand did a great job with the digital pictures and in relaying his experiences of the journey. I was delighted to be able to participate in this way since I wasn’t able to be there in person. Many thanks for including me in the process in this way." – L.T.

"I have been ‘virtually’ traveling with our Travelers and group to China – delightedly reading David Sand’s wonderful account of the trip every day. It has been an inspiration to watch as our MSIA family share their love and light in this beautiful country. For the first time, I felt that I could participate in an MSIA light trip – through the marvel of technology. I want to especially thank David Sand for his fantastic service in being the journalist. His photography was beautiful, and his narrative was a warm, humorous, and totally delightful way of sharing. Thank you MSIA, for using the tools that made this an adventure we could all share. Thank you John-Roger, John Morton, and all of the travelers that went to China, for doing what you had to do to bring more light to this part of the world. And thank you to all the unknown servants at New Day Herald On-line for your part in making this daily sharing a reality." – C.B.

"From day one, I have eagerly followed the China trip on-line. It’s become a part of my morning ritual that I’ve looked forward to and cherished every day. It felt like I was reading an exciting book, with every chapter leaving me full and satisfied, and eager for more. I’ve been entertained, touched, educated, and intrigued, but most of all, I have felt connected to my MSIA family that is so precious to me. Thank you David for all the time and effort you put into this extraordinary and amazing project. The pictures were fun and fabulous and your insightful writing comes straight from the heart. I was thinking on the way to work today, what a beautiful book this would make. I’m glad we were invited to e-mail feedback, and I hope that the outpouring of gratitude will inspire you, David, to perhaps get it published." – D.C., Columbia Maryland

"David’s travelogue of China was fabulous. All of it was wonderful, his sense of humor is delightful and his Traveler Consciousness is lovely. I appreciated his reminders of what we are here for. Bless him and you for providing this wonderful service. I will miss the daily travelogue." – M.R.

"Dear David & MSIA – I am soooo grateful for the incredible show you have provided to us of the China trip. I felt as if I were there with you – almost. Your pictures and commentary made the trip an intimate experience even for me here in New York State. I waited eagerly each day for your next installment. It was truly wonderful. I only hope that this level of sharing from the MSIA trips can be continued. I feel as though I participated in some small way with the Traveler’s ministry through David’s e-mail messages. Thank you so much." – H.M.

"Thank you, David, for allowing us here at home to follow your journey. It was fun to see the images you captured and I especially enjoyed viewing shots of the Chinese people. The night shot of Hong Kong Harbor outside your hotel room was absolutely beautiful." – F.M.

"Please express my gratitude to David for his reporting of the China trip – its ups and downs and his insights. It was so wonderful to come home from work and get to tune in to the traveling peacemakers….all 108 of them! I really think it made it easier to hold the focus of sending them and China the Light. My favorites were the shots of J-R talking to John by the koi pond, J-R and his brother, the children, and the beauty of the inland mountain region (now I know where my screensaver was photographed!). Thank you all so much for making this journey possible for us! I enjoyed the tour! (without the "yucky" food, humidity and jetlag!)" – S.

"Thanks for the daily journal. It’s the next best thing to having been there. It has been wonderful and amazing to get an insider’s view of the journey so immediately. David’s sense of humor and his excellent skills as a reporter and a photographer are greatly appreciated." – N.R., Miami Lakes, Florida

"David, this was such a beautiful gift you gave us all!! I have enjoyed every minute of your writing, your humor, your impressions, your photography…you made the trip come alive for me. And in some way my light followed yours along the way. Each day I thought of all of you and couldn’t wait until the evening when I could be home and go on-line to see your pictures and your writing. Thanks a thousand times for your correspondence. It may have been difficult at times, but China came alive for me through your eyes!" – C.M.

"Thank you so much for giving this gift of the China trip online. I felt a part of the trip, and even felt connected to the loving and joy of what I imagine the physical participants felt. This sense of connectedness was precious. And the photos! Very expanding, very enriching. Good commentary. Good job. I can’t thank you enough." – M.A.

"Thank you so much for your loving diligence in reporting the China trip to the rest of us. I felt a real sense of connection to the group, and sent the Light daily to you all. I appreciate you and your ministry!" – D.E.

"Thank you very much for your focus and comments during this China trip report. I deeply appreciated all the hard work you have put into this journey, and the relaxed messages you had scribbled. It is amazing that I sat facing my computer in Spain and was able to also participate in the trip. You fellows were given the opportunity to place the light and so did I. Thank you for the opportunity to be with you in spirit and enjoy the moments of the trip." – M.

"Dear eNDH staff and David Sand,
It was one of the nicest on-line experiences to be on the virtual reality trip with David Sand, J-R, John Morton, the staff and with many of the travel participants. Every page we printed and put into a folder and now it is being shared amongst the community. We have the privilege to have the ‘Travelers’ and the staff in Adelaide September 11-12.00 and we will have our print-outs with us again for sharing. An extra thank you to David Sand for a splendid report and the exquisite photographs presented. The transmission and the arrangement done by NDH staff was almost instantaneous, often on the same day, from China to LA and back to Australia. Thanks for all the work done! It was much appreciated. We enjoyed the HUmore and prayed for a safe return of all participants. It made us more aware that people around the world have the same basic desire to live in peace and have a reasonable standard of living. Only the prevention of basic rights bring about disharmony. You have certainly won new friends and of course your old ones wishing you much Love and Light as ever." – F-V. & E.K., South Australia

"I so appreciated the daily updates of the China trip and David’s willingness to bring those of us along who were unable to go on the trip. Thank you David for your loving service and dependability. I loved your humor, insight, and high tech photo and e-mailing skills. My two favorite pictures were Jesus as a bicycle rickshaw driver and the children fanning J-R. Thank you for your kind and loving service." – J.J.

"Everyday I traveled with you in the Light, and really enjoyed the daily reports. I have never been on a trip with the Travelers like this, and for the first time felt a real close connection. I am sure glad I did not have to have a "prison like" hotel room in the scenic mountain area, and was content to e-travel from the comfort of my air conditioned home." – V.M.

"Thank you David and NDH for allowing us to participate in the China journey online. The pictures and commentary were delightful, and allowed me to participate in a more specific way in asking for the Light for the trip and the group." – K.W.

"Dear David, Deborah, and all who made the trip available to us via internet: Again, many deep and heartfelt thanks to you for sharing the China trip with us. I have so enjoyed the pictures and your commentary, David! Your sense of HUmor made me laugh, and your sense of the sacredness of the trip and the work being done in China came through in your many beautiful sharings. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to join the China trip via your daily sharing, and it has been a daily opportunity for me to once again send the Light to J-R and John and all who were physically on the trip, to China and all who reside there, and to the work of the Traveler in that area of our planet and everywhere." – J.D.

"Heartfelt thanks to David for doing this…I logged on each day and some days I was very moved with an inner longing to just do more Spiritual Exercises and be at one with your loving service there. I loved seeing my friends and rejoicing with them…and enjoyed the beautiful pictures!" – E.G.

"I loved the daily reports on the China trip. I read every one. I hope you will continue to do this on future trips. It let me experience part of the trip, & pick up part of the essence of it." – T.S., Duluth, MN

"Thank you for doing this. I have very much enjoyed the sharing of your photos and comments. It was the closest thing to actually being there myself as part of the One." – P.S.

"First of all, I want to thank NDH for putting the trip together on the web page. Having some experience with computers, I am well aware of the time and effort that it took to put all this together… and what a wonderful job you did! Thank you. As for you David, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your diligence and effort with the service you provided with your pictures and commentary…I can sure appreciate the time, sacrifice and discipline it must have taken for you to be consistent with doing this. Because of you, I was able to, ("in essence"), be there with you all on this trip. In many ways, it felt like a Pat IV experience for me and I felt as though I was right there with you all. I can’t thank you enough for giving me that opportunity…. God bless you for that. Please know that for me, your service to us all was not in vain. I hope that in the future, I may be able to thank you in person with a big hug. Once again, thank you for your special service you gave us." – J.E.

"What an example of how Spirit works in wonderful and magical ways! I have been so richly rewarded and deeply blessed by your brilliant contributions. It almost feels like I have gone on this trip, too! (without any of the hassles!) I have sent Light several times a day every day to you, the group and the Travelers. You have been my emissary on this trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It is my request that you or someone like you, do this on every journey with the Travelers. You truly made this trip come alive. Many blessings to you as you have truly blessed us." – J.E.

"Looking at these photos makes me realize that kids are the same the world over, especially the one with the little guy pulling to get away. That was so cute! (Well, they ALL were!)" – L.P.

"I really enjoy David’s perspective. He is hilarious and today he made me laugh and cry all at the same time. When he said that maybe staying at the Regent Hotel was Spirit’s way of thanking them for what they had done. That hit me right in my heart. As though this was true for me also. That was such a blessing. We all share in the blessings. It has been such a blessing to participate in this way. I wanted to go physically but that just wasn’t in the cards. So, this was such a wonderful way to be a part of it. Thank you so much for doing such a great job for us… Now with the Internet and digital cameras we can experience even more. It is absolutely great. I love this church!" – R.A.

"Thank you for taking me on this wonderful journey through China while at the comfort of my air conditioned office. I could not get enough of the wonderful photos and the great commentary. I looked forward to each day to open my e-mail and see what else the trip had in store for me to enjoy. Thanks to you and to all the China trip participants and the Travelers for putting yourselves on the line to bring the Light to China. I so enjoyed your humorous comments seeing Jesus Garcia cut up with Rickshaw drivers and Mannequins. I appreciated all the photos and felt I was there when Paul Kaye and Graham Holley were doing their shtick. I enjoyed seeing the photos of the different participants, ones I recognized and some I did not. The scenery was wonderful and seeing the children was so sweet. Dear David, you did a magnificent job of bringing us to China. I felt a sense of relief when the food was improved by moving to restaurants with a higher quality of food. I even felt a sense of relief when you moved on to more comfortable quarters. I appreciated seeing the photo of the hole in the floor that was their version of a toilet and having a shower in the same place, most inventive of the Chinese. It makes one appreciate the comforts we take for granted. I truly felt transported each time I visited the e-NDH site. Thank you so very much for the love I felt from you as you gave so much of your loving service." – S.N.

"I was on the China trip two years ago and of course saw everything you send us pictures of, and had my own internal experience holding the light for a country that needs so much. Thanks for your diligence in getting so many pictures, taking us along for the ride so we could send light also, and for your humor and humanity joking about what could be negative (heat, the oppressed people etc) and being a light bearer. I was thankful I wasn’t physically on this trip and that I could be there too." – M.H.

"I recently had the gift of experiencing David’s impeccable skills as the "sound and music guy" at the PAT I training in Victoria Canada. Everyone commented on how his perfect choices of music and seamless transitions in and out of taped seminars and music made the PAT that much more incredible (if that was possible). I was thrilled to see the first New Day Herald on the trip to China, enticing us to view David’s daily photographs and editorials of the trip. All I could think was "WOW!!!! Is this guy amazingly talented or what?!!!" And what incredible photographs they were. David you were soooo right. They were worth the few moments daily to download. Especially the photos of the children and the countryside in Guilin. They gave me goose bumps! I found myself eagerly anticipating each days photos and report. David, you allowed us all to make this trip with you and J-R and John and the rest of the Travelers and I thank you. Not only that, but I just want to share with you that a I was telling a woman at work about the beauty of your pictures. I had no idea that she was born in mainland China. She is now a woman in her late forties and has regretted never having had the opportunity to travel back to her homeland since she left as a child. I gave her the website address and you gave her the greatest gift of traveling on a journey that she never thought she would make. Your ministry spreads very far David. Thank you so much for sharing your precious talents with all of us!!!" – C.N., Edmonton, Canada

"I loved participating in the China trip (via the internet). Thank you so much to David Sand for his beautiful photography and prose. I felt very connected to all the participants and enjoyed reading about their many adventures. My family enjoyed the photos and hearing about all the different cities that the group traveled to. It was easy to send light each day after viewing David’s reports. Again, many blessings go to David for his incredible service to all his fellow ministers who stayed home and held the light for the trip!!!" – L.J.S.

"David: You are the man!! Thanks so much for documenting the trip! As the photo-historian for most of the trips I’ve been on, I know how totally aggravating it can be to keep up, stay focused (photos & words & thoughts & sense of fun), but I’ve found it’s always worth the effort –and I really appreciate what you did for eighteen jam-packed days!" – F.R.

"Words cannot express my gratitude for the daily David Sand reports from China. They kept me so connected to the Travelers’ work. My favorite was the adventure story of David’s dedication to make the internet connection to get the daily update to us from a remote place. Each time I read a report, I experienced a great sense of peace. Daily I sent my loving and the Light to each of the folks on the trip and to those who left the trip. What a blessing to be able to participate in this way. Thank you, thank you." – E.D.
