Despite regimented Chinese restrictions and rulers, Lao Tzu and Confucius style poetry and philosophy survive.

Spirit is strong. It overrides education and indoctrination. Our minds and emotions may wobble but our hearts know the truth. So it’s not surprising that mainland Chinese SinoVision television reporters, Yibo Fan and Na Shan seemed sincerely smitten with Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens (PAL&G).

While they were learning about the spiritual principles and star teachers of PAL&G (John-Roger, John Morton, and Paul Kaye), Yibo and Na taught this writer a few things. Or rather reflected wisdom through their actions.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
~Lao Tzu

Upon arrival, Yibo and Na perused PAL&G with purpose. They asked questions along the way and considered camera angles. For the MSIA President Paul Kaye interview, they chose the Guasti dining room. (Serendipitously carved Chinese-style dragons dance in the mantle in the same room.) PAL&G Head Administrator, Susan Valaskovic added her stroke of genius by setting up a display of The Tao of Spirit – a book Paul co-authored with John-Roger – within prominent view of the lens.

Silence is a source of great strength.
~Lao Tzu

Interviews over, an energetic exchange of Chinese between the reporters ensued. Then, silence. I looked up from my computer wondering if I’d missed something. No. The twosome was in contemplation. 10 minutes – maybe more – passed. A quick and quiet conversation was then translated into English. A plan was in place.

“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”
~Lao Tzu

The duo proceeded with wide shots and close ups of the labyrinth, the chimes, the koi, and the meditation garden. Before doing so, however, they respectfully asked about walking the labyrinth created with sacred geometry. They stayed on the paths as requested in the gardens. (The PAL&G touts some very pricey plants.) In other words, all was approached with respect.

“Music in the soul can be heard by the universe.”
~Lao Tzu

Armed with PAL&G pamphlets and Tao of Spirit books, Yibo and Na expressed their appreciation for the day. They both expressed gratitude for the peace-filled environment.

After seeing the video, I’m tremendously grateful that the 800,000 daily viewers of SinoVision TV and the 250,000 who have downloaded their app will have a chance to touch into the Light-filled property that is Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens.

To Watch the Video, Click Here

Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart. ~ Confucius China is a superpower.
