It was the week before the seminar and emails were flying all over the airwaves. (I still wonder often how words appear on my computer that came through the air from someone else\u2019s computer!) Indeed Worry Be Gone was vibrating at the speed of light. What me worry? Nah, it\u2019s all good. The seminar was being created in increments pretty much daily.<\/p>\n
Before we began the seminar, Nick Segal, host extraordinaire, was going over the program in the courtyard. We had bantered back and forth that his usual smooth and light-filled delivery would do him well today. Then I relayed the message that John Morton<\/a> might be late due to road closures coming in from Pacific Palisades and John\u2019s instruction to Nick was for him to vamp! He said, “Now I’m nervous!” It must have been a joke, because as I said, his buttery words made everything OK.<\/p>\n Nick opened the program right on time. Both Matt Van Fossen’s and Eric Lumiere’s Worry Be Gone songs were great toe-tappers and gigglers. Nick cues the J-R excerpt and finds we still need time for John and Leigh, to arrive. Out of the hat, he plays the You Tube piece with Chihuahuas salsa dancing that John chose, as we erupted in laughter\u2014and gosh, we still needed more time. So he begins a long and very descriptive joke that his son Teddy told him about how the Pope and the Rabbi are playing one-upmanship in front of a gathering of Jews and Catholics. I started to take notes on the joke, but alas, I could not keep up. So you’ll need to view the archive–how lucky we are to have archives!
