{"id":109641,"date":"2020-02-07T15:50:46","date_gmt":"2020-02-07T23:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/?p=109641"},"modified":"2020-02-07T15:52:59","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T23:52:59","slug":"share-your-light-speak-kind-words","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/archives\/109641-share-your-light-speak-kind-words","title":{"rendered":"Share Your Light:  Speak Kind Words"},"content":{"rendered":" \u00a0 \n<hr \/>\n<p><em> It\u2019s important that you do let the greater love \u2013 not the love of man, but the love that comes from God \u2013 flow through you in your expression to other people.\u00a0 It is this love that you must continually bring forward.<\/em> &#8211; John-Roger<\/p>\n<p><strong>This article by John-Roger was originally published in the Movement Newspaper, November 1974.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Part of the basic foundation of spiritual love is the expression of kindness.\u00a0 It is important to always speak kind words to one another.\u00a0 If you say to someone, \u201cI love you,\u201d and the next day curse them, it is very difficult for them to carry forward the love of the first day.\u00a0 It\u2019s important that you do let the greater love \u2013 not the love of man, but the love that comes from God \u2013 flow through you in your expression to other people.\u00a0 It is this love that you must continually bring forward.<\/p>\n<p>When you feel that you <strong>must<\/strong> chastise those who are close to you, then also speak kind words to them.\u00a0 It is so very, very important.\u00a0 Speak kind words to others at home, at school, at work, or wherever you may be.\u00a0 At your job, if someone really \u201cblows it,\u201d don\u2019t say, \u201cLook, clod. You\u2019ve messed up a whole day\u2019s work.\u201d\u00a0 Do you think for one minute that they don\u2019t already know and feel bad about what they\u2019ve done?\u00a0 Maybe something like:\u00a0 \u201cWell, it looks like we\u2019ll have to go back and do some repair work.\u00a0 We\u2019re going to have to go back on schedule.\u00a0 You can come in a little early tomorrow or stay a little later now.\u00a0 I\u2019ll expect you to finish this up and make it right.\u00a0 But I know you can do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And the person says, \u201cThank God, I get a chance to straighten it out, to make it right.\u00a0 You must really have a love for me, even though you\u2019ve said, \u201cLook, dummy!\u201d\u00a0 Sometimes when people say, \u2018Dummy!\u201d they are really showing you great love.\u00a0 The words are not so important as the frequency with which they come across.<\/p>\n<p>How would you want someone to approach you when you have done something that hasn\u2019t really been right?\u00a0 Would you want them to come up and yell at you, berate you, castigate you, nail you to the wall?\u00a0 You don\u2019t want that at all; you want a little bit of sympathy and a little bit of understanding.\u00a0 Your point of view is, \u201cI know I\u2019ve made a mistake.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t think I feel bad inside, get in here and feel with me: it hurts.\u00a0 Don\u2019t hurt me any more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can come into a type of attitude where you say, \u201cI wonder how we can make it better now?\u00a0 Maybe we\u2019re going to have to take a few things out and change them around.\u00a0 I\u2019ll be able to help you for a little bit, enough to get you going.\u00a0 And then you can take it from there.\u00a0 It\u2019s no big catastrophe.\u00a0 God is still in heaven.\u00a0 The paycheck is still going to come through regularly.\u00a0 But I would ask that you watch more closely next time \u2013 be a little more responsible.\u00a0 This job is your creation to bring forward, and what have you done with it?\u00a0 Created a mess. \u00a0Now you get to re-create a balance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s so easy to go into the cell level or basic self responses and just \u201cchew people up one side and down the other\u201d to let them know of your righteous indignation.\u00a0 But after you have done that, you have forfeited your next statement of, \u201cI love you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They say, \u201cHow can you love me when you have said and done these things to me?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Very often, we fight because we don\u2019t know our true nature.\u00a0 Our true nature is very simple \u2013 it\u2019s joyful and happy.\u00a0 This is the nature of the Soul \u2013 us.\u00a0 And people fight and depress themselves because they\u2019re afraid they won\u2019t find it.\u00a0 You can\u2019t spoon-feed people, nor can you presuppose that you know what they like or don\u2019t like.\u00a0 But we do know that all humans have Light and are seeking for the greater Light to make theirs one with it.\u00a0 And Light attracts Light.\u00a0 When Light speaks, Light listens.<\/p>\n<p>You can let people know that even though you may not see eye-to-eye with them on the physical level, you support them anyway in their expression.\u00a0 This is important.\u00a0 Often, when we would love to express the depth of our love, we find instead misrepresentation, pettiness and bickering because those we love will not change to suit our whim or desire.\u00a0 But if we go into saying:\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t care what you say or what you think, I\u2019m just going to love you without any restrictions or qualifications, just love from this moment with each breath\u201d \u2013 then there is the love that has moved mountains.<\/p>\n<p>There is the love of getting along and the love of sharing and the love of compromising to assist.\u00a0 Indeed, to be a peacemaker is a joyful occasion.\u00a0 But to have peace in the heart is even more joyful.\u00a0 And then to share peace of mind is even more joyful.\u00a0 Or to share an emotional understanding where you say: \u201cI understand that; I felt the same way\u201d\u2014 that is glorious, too.\u00a0 But to shed God\u2019s Light through yourself to others and awaken that within them is transcendental, there are no words for it.\u00a0 And yet it is the most real state.<\/p>\n<p>We ask people, \u201cWill you allow me to love you?\u201d and we say it in many ways.\u00a0 But the big thing we say is, \u201cWill you love me?\u201d\u00a0 And when they do not give forward of love, that is when we fight.\u00a0 That\u2019s when we yell, and that\u2019s when we feel hatred and pettiness within ourselves.\u00a0 But it really is crying out, \u201cOh, God help me, I need love.\u201d\u00a0 And we do need this.\u00a0 We need this because it is part of our beingness to be fulfilled with love.\u00a0 Not physical, emotional or mental love.\u00a0 Spiritual love is the love that brings with it the consciousness of God and the realization that all things are functioning in accordance with the one Law \u2013 that is the Law we know as God.<\/p>\n<p>When you fight someone, you fight the God that is in you.\u00a0 Sometimes, we want to fight people to wake them up because we say, \u201cI see so much in you that I just want to shake you loose so you\u2019ll look.\u201d\u00a0 Why don\u2019t you love them loose?\u00a0 Why don\u2019t you make your love be so dynamic that without it they could not make it and that with it you could go together into the heart of God.<\/p>\n<p>The Soul will respond to love.\u00a0 It will not respond to anything else.\u00a0 It responds to love because that is its nature \u2013 loving and happy and joyous.\u00a0 And when we reach more into the Soul and come from that center of awareness into the world, we are coming from a place of joy and a place of thanksgiving \u2013 also, a place of thanks-receiving and thanks-sharing.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re brought together to refine ourselves, to sandpaper each other.\u00a0 Chipping away?
