This article comes from a sharing that John Morton had in a Ministers & Initiates Question & Answer Seminar held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 11, 1995.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you know that sense where there are two things on your shoulders going for your attention?\u00a0 It\u2019s as if one is the devil and one is the angel.\u00a0 Does that represent something similar to what you are experiencing from time to time?<\/p>\n

The reality is that you are in the middle.\u00a0 You are larger than whatever is pulling or pushing on you.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t overwhelm you.\u00a0 It can feel overwhelming, but it\u2019s not big enough to get you.<\/p>\n

People who fear the devil are fools.\u00a0 People who fear God are even greater fools.\u00a0 There really is nothing to fear.\u00a0 We will endure and outlast whatever would come against us. The great consciousnesses have known this.\u00a0 They have said, \u201cDo whatever you want to my body.\u00a0 You can\u2019t get to me by getting my body.\u00a0 Whatever you do to my body, I\u2019m free.\u201d\u00a0 Some have said, \u201cYou are doing me a favor.\u00a0 By taking my body, you send me to the Creator.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been waiting for the chance, so today you set me free.\u201d<\/p>\n

That is a great consciousness.\u00a0 Those who know that are not foolish about the knowledge.\u00a0 Suicide is not a way into Soul Transcendence. There is a great teaching that has been around for a long time.\u00a0 No one knows the hour of his or her transition, other than God.\u00a0 That is always in God\u2019s hands and it\u2019s one of the great mysteries to be revealed.<\/p>\n

We can look at the portals.\u00a0 That is actually something we practice in spiritual exercise, to go through the portals of transitioning from this world.\u00a0 As you know this more consciously, the things of this world – even though they are interesting – have less interest in you.\u00a0 However, as you raise your consciousness of Spirit, the negative power takes a greater interest in you.\u00a0 The temptations and the intensity of the testing are greater.<\/p>\n

Consider that as the intensity increases, so is the necessary strength and wisdom that you must draw from.\u00a0 Adversity is ordinary on the way to God.\u00a0 It\u2019s as though it increases as you come closer.\u00a0 The power of the negativity has access to you and increases because of your ability to handle it.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a spiritual protection that is with every Soul.\u00a0 We\u2019re not given anything that we cannot handle.\u00a0 Have you heard that teaching?\u00a0 It\u2019s not allowed.\u00a0 The negative power is not allowed to give us greater negativity than we can handle.\u00a0 But we, in our foolishness, are allowed to create great messes.<\/p>\n

At some point we get sick and tired of making messes.\u00a0 We change our ways, renouncing those things that no longer serve us.\u00a0 We have nothing to do with them.\u00a0 They are not our level of concern.\u00a0 As we no longer resist and fight with what comes at us as a temptation or test, it loses its power over us.\u00a0 We are the ones who energize the negativity.\u00a0 That is how it comes at us, because we\u2019ve created it.<\/p>\n

In reality, the Soul is much like Adam and Eve.\u00a0 The Soul comes into the world with great innocence.\u00a0 But as we allow ourselves to be corrupted, we take on a darker material nature.\u00a0 It\u2019s like becoming ugly in relation to our Soul.\u00a0 We become like a beast.\u00a0 One of the terms that is often associated with the negative power is the \u201cbeast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Typically, the nature of the beast is ugly, big, powerful and wild.\u00a0 It\u2019s out of control.\u00a0 If you find yourself with \u201cbig, ugly, wild, out of control,\u201d those are signs that you are off your path.\u00a0 You are doing things that are against your true nature.\u00a0 What it\u2019s really saying is, \u201cStop! Come back into yourself.\u201d\u00a0 In a sense, it is a time to stop the world.<\/p>\n

That is one of the aspects of spiritual exercise.\u00a0 It stops the world.\u00a0 As you call in the Light, it places a protection so that Spirit will intercede on your behalf.\u00a0 It will keep the \u201cbeasts\u201d at bay.\u00a0 Then you start getting to work your freedom, and it\u2019s manageable.<\/p>\n

Instead of having seven \u201cbeasts\u201d all at once trouncing on you, you have one.\u00a0 And maybe that one is muffled, because Spirit has grace.\u00a0 You get to take on the \u201cbeasts\u201d you\u2019ve created for yourself and get free of them.<\/p>\n

Let me describe what this might be like during spiritual exercises.\u00a0 You call in the Light, chant your tone and all hell breaks loose.\u00a0 Your mind is crazy.\u00a0 Your body is fidgety.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to stay put.\u00a0 It takes all your will power to stay with it.\u00a0 It is an understanding that you are doing something to clear yourself.\u00a0 You\u2019ve got to do your part.<\/p>\n

You are a creator.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t do your part, then it doesn\u2019t allow the Spirit to do its part.\u00a0 That\u2019s a great deal, like a bargain.\u00a0 Your part is ten percent.\u00a0 Spirit takes care of ninety percent.\u00a0 It\u2019s a great deal because, under grace, you can get free from most of what it is that binds you.<\/p>\n

You are not dragged into God. You do it voluntarily.\u00a0 As you look back you see, \u201cI am the one who chose this.\u00a0 I did it by the power within me.\u201d<\/p>\n

You will also have the opportunity to see all the assistance and support that was there for you all along the way.\u00a0 When you get a glimpse of that, you usually have a great cry because you realize how much has been done for you.\u00a0 When you were cursing God and cursing yourself, that was when the most was being done for you.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like, \u201cWhen I was at my worst, God was the most loving.\u201d\u00a0 It is one of the great paradoxes.\u00a0 When you\u2019re at your worst, Spirit is at its best.\u00a0 What we are assigned to do in Soul Transcendence is to come into our lowest level, our worst level.\u00a0 In a sense, this is it.<\/p>\n

In your progression as a Soul, this world is now your lowest level.\u00a0 You are finishing up the things that are keeping you down.\u00a0 The more rapidly you complete things here, the more you are going to go into Spirit.\u00a0 There is no limit.<\/p>\n

Another paradox with God is It\u2019s entirely present.\u00a0 That means it\u2019s already done.\u00a0 We can realize it right now.\u00a0 That\u2019s where the enthusiasm comes in.\u00a0 We take on as much as we can handle.<\/p>\n

Blessing This Day<\/p>\n

May 11, 2020<\/p>\n

Welcome this day<\/p>\n

Welcome the Light and love that comes forth from our consciousness in Soul<\/p>\n

The highest good and the highest God<\/p>\n

We also bring forth in the consciousness of the Christ and with the Traveler working with us<\/p>\n

Whatever is needed<\/p>\n

We can celebrate<\/p>\n

We can claim this fully in our heart, in our natural knowing<\/p>\n

We take a moment to breathe that in and breathe that out, to call it in and call it out<\/p>\n

And to be in the certainty of the Soul that knows all is good<\/p>\n

Not one Soul will be lost<\/p>\n

We can handle whatever it is because our first knowing is we can handle this<\/p>\n

Even if we don\u2019t understand and we don\u2019t comprehend<\/p>\n

Whatever would come forward as doubts and fears, any form of negativity<\/p>\n

We can handle this, we can handle it with peace and joy<\/p>\n

We can handle it with doing good and more good<\/p>\n

These are the keys, and they are delivered fully and eternally<\/p>\n

So we choose this day to be in the certainty of the Soul<\/p>\n

The knowing that we can be ever greater in the goodness of who we are<\/p>\n

We extend ourself through our consciousness, through our intention<\/p>\n

To all Souls, all people, everything<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good day, it\u2019s a blessed day<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s go out and do some good.<\/p>\n
