This article comes from a sharing John had with students in the Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy Doctor of Spiritual Science (DSS) class in March 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been involved from the beginning of the Doctor of Spiritual Science program as a consciousness with the Traveler to step in and see what I could do to help people in the class sharings.\u00a0 John-Roger, obviously, was involved with every step of how it was created with the materials, curriculum, etc. But in large part, it was other people who did the work of the discovery process, putting it together and so forth.<\/p>\n

The DSS was designed to be what I would call a pinnacle, something that is \u201cas good as it gets\u201d at our seminary.\u00a0 We don\u2019t know how to do something that would be of a higher learning than what this is.\u00a0 There are obviously requisites or prerequisites for the program rather than an \u201call-comers\u201d class.<\/p>\n

One of my contributions was encouraging tithing as one of the requisites.\u00a0 That was my suggestion.\u00a0 I may be selfish.\u00a0 I want to play with people that have a level of commitment that they are willing to be tithing to God.\u00a0 That\u2019s how I look at it.\u00a0 It\u2019s between you and God.\u00a0 I don\u2019t want auditing or something like checking on that level.\u00a0 It is honesty.\u00a0 Tithing is between you and God.\u00a0 If you say you are tithing and you\u2019re not, we don\u2019t have a God of punishment or resentment.\u00a0 I just look at it as a trust.\u00a0 It\u2019s a faith that people would tithe as an acknowledgment to God.<\/p>\n

There is a ministerial seminar about the Melchizedek priesthood available to any active MSIA minister.\u00a0 If you\u2019re active and haven\u2019t listened to that seminar, I highly recommend it. Abraham is mentioned in the Bible as someone who brought his tithe and gave it to Melchizedek.\u00a0 If you are looking to where tithing was introduced in the Bible, consider Genesis 14:18 as it offers a succinct introduction as to who\u00a0Melchizedek\u00a0<\/a>was. He was the \u201cKing of Salem\u2026 [and] priest of God Most High\u201d. He blessed\u00a0Abraham\u00a0<\/a>(called Abram at this time) after receiving a tenth of all the goods he recovered from the war between allied kings in the area. This\u00a0event is listed on the\u00a0Bible Timeline Poster<\/a>\u00a0around 2004 BC.\u00a0\u00a0 Melchizedek\u2019s name was not mentioned again till much later. Starting in Psalms 110:4 and several chapters of Hebrews, it is evident that he was known and even revered generations later. In Hebrews 6:20,\u00a0Jesus\u00a0<\/a>was likened to Melchizedek and has become \u201cour eternal High Priest\u201d.\u00a0 [The J-R seminar \u201cThe Order of the Melchizedek Priesthood<\/a>\u201d is available in MP3 format for MSIA ministers at msia.org<\/a>].<\/p>\n

We are working at the level where we are calling people into your highest consciousness by an intention.\u00a0 That is no small feat.\u00a0 It can be something taking tremendous commitment and maybe even some kind of sacrifice.\u00a0 I don\u2019t look at it as some gigantic monetary thing.\u00a0 What\u2019s the value and the price that should be put on what it\u2019s worth?\u00a0 I say it\u2019s priceless, so how do you measure that?<\/p>\n

The DSS is set up for people to invest themselves tremendously.\u00a0 There has been what I would call a lot of refinement.\u00a0 We continuously ask, \u201cHow do we really do this in the very best way, so people are coming into whatever they are looking for spiritually and getting it?\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s being delivered to as much as they can handle and as much as they are willing to participate.\u00a0 It is refined.\u00a0 It\u2019s in a much higher attunement now because each time we do it, it refines itself.<\/p>\n

I look at those who are brand new to DSS, like in the first year, as taking advantage of that.\u00a0 You didn\u2019t really miss out.\u00a0 Sure, there are opportunities we\u2019ve all missed, but opportunity keeps coming around \u2013 particularly the spiritual kind.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t ever go away.\u00a0 Not one Soul is lost.\u00a0 No matter how many times you say, \u201cI don\u2019t finish it.\u00a0 I don\u2019t complete it.\u00a0 I don\u2019t do what my Soul came here to do,\u201d it\u2019s waiting for you.\u00a0 It can\u2019t be denied.\u00a0 It is an internal gift and we\u2019re playing at that level.<\/p>\n

With what we call initiation, in particular, we can do what the Soul came here to do and more.\u00a0 It came to complete the psychic-material assignment for this whole life, whatever it needed to do as experience.\u00a0 Let\u2019s consider that experience delivers learning that develops the Soul consciousness.\u00a0 It is coming into its mastery.\u00a0 It is coming into its full blossoming that whatever<\/em><\/strong> the Soul is to do is a master consciousness.\u00a0 John-Roger referenced it as a \u201cPath to Mastership \u2013 the Royal Road.\u201d The inner master is calling this consciousness and you are the inner master. [J-R\u2019s book, \u201cThe Path to Mastership<\/a>\u201d, an audio packet, \u201cThe Royal Road: The Path to Mastership<\/a>\u201d, and a SAT \u2013 Soul Awareness Teachings seminar titled \u201cThe Path to Mastership<\/a>\u201d are available at msia.org<\/a>].<\/p>\n

We wake up progressively to all of what that is so that we have the opportunity to become the Christ.\u00a0 \u201cI am the light.\u00a0 I am the truth.\u00a0 I am the way.\u201d\u00a0 That is the Soul\u2019s inheritance, that we become the Mystical Traveler Consciousness.\u00a0 That has all been called out in the teachings long ago, not just by John-Roger.\u00a0 There are<\/em><\/strong> things that John-Roger said that I\u2019ve yet to find someone else saying.\u00a0 Perhaps God was saying, \u201cI was silent for a while and then I spoke.\u00a0 Not one Soul will be lost.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are a lot of teachings that say that\u2019s not possible, saying that you can go to eternal damnation or failure.\u00a0 Like you are lost, that\u2019s that and that is too bad. That is not what we bring forward.\u00a0 If you want to play it, it\u2019s this lifetime!\u00a0 I look at that as amazing because even if it was something like no one had ever completed the DSS in less than four years, I\u2019d still be interested because I can see where it\u2019s going, and I want that.<\/p>\n

From the first moment I chanted HU, I had a very direct experience of the movement of spiritual inner awareness in a very intense way that my mind could not immediately comprehend.\u00a0 It was like an explosion.\u00a0 I then realized that I am conscious in that movement that is way, way beyond my mind.\u00a0 I\u2019m having the experience.\u00a0 Even though I didn\u2019t comprehend what was happening to me fully in that experience, I knew it was good.\u00a0 I wanted more of this.\u00a0 Where do I sign up?<\/p>\n

You might want to consider how you could have more of that.\u00a0 Here I am.\u00a0 I look at my story as very ordinary.\u00a0 If anything, it\u2019s like a lot of other people.\u00a0 It is unique, but like yours, everybody\u2019s experience is unique.\u00a0 I\u2019ve said many times, and I say it now, \u201cThe best is yet to come.\u201d\u00a0 That is how I see everything spiritually.\u00a0 It\u2019s not over and done.\u00a0 It is increasing and expanding.<\/p>\n

You can have that spiritual experience while you are here in the human condition in this lifetime.\u00a0 That would be having the best experience ever.\u00a0 The best.\u00a0 It\u2019s not dependent on who we are physically.\u00a0 Maybe we have to cooperate physically, like showing up, participating, chanting the name, inviting the Traveler consciousness to be with you, guiding you and letting that be wide open with no conditions on it.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m inviting you to work with the Traveler in the very best way, for the highest good at the highest rate.\u00a0 That can take courage.\u00a0 Well, we\u2019ve got it.\u00a0 Take your courage and do that.\u00a0 That\u2019s what courage is for.\u00a0 When your heart knows this is what you\u2019ve been looking for and this is for you, then do it!<\/p>\n

I would make this primary because it\u2019s your \u201cGod shot.\u201d\u00a0 Somehow God is touching you in the Movement, in this consciousness and in these teachings.\u00a0 When you apply yourself, you have that experience that it\u2019s working with you, all of it.\u00a0 It\u2019s still vastly mysterious.\u00a0 I can tell you by applying myself, like any of us can apply ourselves, then more and more we know what it is.\u00a0 We just know it. Some may say, \u201cProve it to me.\u201d\u00a0 John-Roger did not know how to prove it to anybody.\u00a0 Get your own proof.\u00a0 That\u2019s how it\u2019s designed to work.\u00a0 Find out for yourself.\u00a0 Don\u2019t believe me.<\/p>\n

You might consider what I\u2019m telling you is also what is available to you.\u00a0 If I\u2019m having these experiences, they are available to you.\u00a0 Then what do you do?\u00a0 Do what that is.\u00a0 You still end up having an ordinary, personal life, where it doesn\u2019t take up all your time every day.\u00a0 It\u2019s not going to.\u00a0 It\u2019s going to let you be who you are in the ordinariness of your life.\u00a0 You are going to have to live in yours.\u00a0 If you do this, the value comes forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo whom much is given, much is expected.\u201d\u00a0 I look at it as, you are given. Then you have the ability and the authority to give it to others because it\u2019s something you have that can be shared.\u00a0\u00a0 There is a way that\u2019s done that holds up the sacred.\u00a0 That\u2019s my experience.\u00a0 There is a way to share what this is so that it keeps it sacred.\u00a0 There is something really beautiful there.<\/p>\n

In whatever way this Movement is developing, it doesn\u2019t retract.\u00a0 It holds, finding a way to do it in something that\u2019s subtle for those who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear.\u00a0 I also see it\u2019s becoming something easier for something like the \u201cmasses\u201d to comprehend and value.<\/p>\n

The raw teachings are beautiful.\u00a0 You could remove words like \u201cMystical Traveler Consciousness\u201d and even \u201cGod\u201d and just talk about what happens to a person in their experience and leave it there, not putting names on the energy or consciousness.\u00a0 Just describe it as, \u201cThis is what happens to you. This is what your life is about.\u00a0 It\u2019s living love, forgiveness, loving your enemy and doing things that create health and happiness.\u201d\u00a0 Who\u2019s not in?\u00a0 I find the teachings and the way they were laid out as magnificent and beautiful.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know of another teaching that calls to me in such a way that I say, \u201cI\u2019m going to do this now because I\u2019m up for it.\u00a0 I\u2019m up for the highest teaching there is.\u00a0 That is my intention.\u201d\u00a0 That\u2019s how I was able to work it out with myself when I was wondering if I was getting way, way over my head immersing myself into this.\u00a0 I said, \u201cI\u2019m going to do this until something better comes along.\u201d\u00a0 I didn\u2019t know how to do it half-heartedly.\u00a0 My prayer was, \u201cGod, I really would like it if you would wake me up. Let me know if there is something really better over here.\u201d That was my prayer.\u00a0 Guide and lead me to the very best.<\/p>\n

I look at what we\u2019re taught in the Movement, and I don\u2019t know anything better.\u00a0 In the Doctor of Spiritual Science class, we try to give the very best of the teachings and the best ways of practicing them, so they become a lifestyle.\u00a0 Yes, there may be some personal changes that we need to make so we\u2019re really living the teachings to the level where you could teach the teachings.\u00a0 That is where I say we are going here.\u00a0 You could write the discourses.\u00a0 That\u2019s it.\u00a0 There we go.<\/p>\n

Jesus called that out and so did John-Roger.\u00a0 We are all going to do something greater.\u00a0\u00a0 That is how this works.\u00a0 See if we can do what was laid down.\u00a0 I mean, even with Jesus, see if we can do that.\u00a0 I know there are other beautiful things.\u00a0 I\u2019m not trying to do that thing where we make our teacher, our guru, the best and we all dance about it.\u00a0 But it is my experience.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not trying to tell anybody they \u201cshould\u201d<\/em> be involved. We don\u2019t make some point like we\u2019re trying to save you from going astray.\u00a0 John-Roger\u2019s policy was that when people wanted to leave, we helped them leave.\u00a0 Not mocking or ridiculing, but like, \u201cYou need cab or Uber fare?\u00a0 Okay, we got it.\u201d\u00a0 If people want to become uninvolved and do something else, my point of view is, \u201cWhat will help you?\u00a0 What can we do?\u201d<\/p>\n

Blessing of Turning to the Lord<\/h4>\n

Dear Lord, for those of us who are willing, we find ourselves gathered with You again in that place in the Spirit where all souls gather, and that\u2019s of all Your creation.<\/p>\n

It all comes into the Soul until we find the great Light.<\/p>\n

We feel, sense and consciously realize the great love, the great truth.<\/p>\n

We take a moment in this place where we are in this world, in our body, to let go and do this eternal exercise where we let go and give it up and surrender to You.<\/p>\n

You are the one we can trust completely, and yet You don\u2019t demand it.<\/p>\n

You give us the choice.<\/p>\n

So, when we\u2019re ready to let go in our trust and to move across whatever faith is necessary, which we realize is in our own darkness where we have turned away.<\/p>\n

We ask through the Traveler and the Christ and all the gifts in Spirit, that You reach into our consciousness loosening what is attached, bringing the Light into what has been the dark, where we have turned away in shame or fear.<\/p>\n

We take this moment again to extend throughout our existence that we are those who are walking in-step with the Traveler, claiming our liberation.<\/p>\n

We know we have been brought to this world for that purpose.<\/p>\n

We give thanks that we have chosen back, and in Your presence, we are reminded it is done.<\/p>\n

We rejoice that we are in this place where we must do each and every choice that remains.<\/p>\n

We ask for Your assistance to hold.<\/p>\n

We give thanks that we are shown the way again and again.<\/p>\n

You teach us it does not matter what has happened.<\/p>\n

We let go, release, and trust.<\/p>\n

We embrace this new freedom.<\/p>\n

You remind us that the little things that are our concerns are indeed little because in the Spirit they have no real consequence.<\/p>\n

They are simply circumstantial, and we are to love each and every circumstance. With our whole being, we receive Your strength, Your wisdom, and all the gifts that You bring to us.<\/p>\n

We rejoice again in the simplicity of our child-like nature, a pure nature that You brought us into this world to become.<\/p>\n

We forgive ourself for what we have forgotten, and we accept Your forgiveness all along the way that continually restores us and embraces us, so we are healed.<\/p>\n

We are realigned.\u00a0 We are renewed.<\/p>\n

We thank the Traveler, in particular our friend, John-Roger, and our friend, Jesus, and all those in this line who prepared the way and are still holding it open forever waiting so whenever we come, we are welcome.<\/p>\n
