{"id":110961,"date":"2022-04-06T10:48:46","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T17:48:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/?p=110961"},"modified":"2022-04-06T10:48:46","modified_gmt":"2022-04-06T17:48:46","slug":"who-will-be-our-2022-msia-ministers-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/archives\/110961-who-will-be-our-2022-msia-ministers-of-the-year","title":{"rendered":"Who Will Be Our 2022 MSIA Ministers of the Year?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Each year at our Ministers Meeting at MSIA\u2019s Conference, we have the pleasure of celebrating ministers, typically two, who have inspired us with their exemplary service.\u00a0 Ministers often comment that it is a highlight of the Conference Ministers Meeting experience.<\/p>\n<p>So, how is it that these Ministers of the Year are chosen?\u00a0 Well, that involves you, our ministerial body.\u00a0 We rely on you to nominate those ministers who you have witnessed or experienced as inspiring, dedicated and devoted in their ministry.<\/p>\n<p>Who chooses the ones who receive the award?\u00a0 Well, in truth, Spirit does.\u00a0 How does that happen?\u00a0 Previous recipients of the award are invited to come together on Zoom. We call in the Light.\u00a0 Then we read all the names of those ministers who have been nominated that year and the descriptions of their service as written by you \u2013 the ministers who have been inspired to nominate them.<\/p>\n<p>With the slate of candidates established we call in the Light, remind ourselves to drop our personal favorites and ask for Spirit to make its choice through us. We generally start with over 20 candidates and typically two ministers emerge as clear choices.\u00a0 So far, every time we have done this process the whole group has moved into consensus.
