{"id":111403,"date":"2023-03-28T18:12:29","date_gmt":"2023-03-29T01:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/?p=111403"},"modified":"2023-03-28T18:12:29","modified_gmt":"2023-03-29T01:12:29","slug":"everything-serves-a-high-purpose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/archives\/111403-everything-serves-a-high-purpose","title":{"rendered":"Everything Serves a High Purpose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>You may say, \u201cI want to be in the highest good, to serve the highest good.\u201d\u00a0 Let\u2019s see if you are willing to do that if you\u2019re ready to make that choice.\u00a0 If you are, you will make that choice naturally, freely, and openly \u2013 again and again.\u00a0 What if we don\u2019t?\u00a0\u00a0<strong>There<\/strong>\u00a0is the suffering.<\/em>\u00a0 &#8211; John Morton<\/p>\n<p><strong>This article comes from a sharing session John had with students in the Peace Theological Seminary Transcendent Leadership class in October 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When we are onto the learning, it\u2019s not aggravating or disturbing.\u00a0 I mean fully onto it.\u00a0 There could be a moment when our \u201civory tower\u201d has been shattered and come down.\u00a0 Our belief system is smoldering and in ruins.\u00a0 That\u2019s a funny image.\u00a0 It took me a long time to build up that tower and now I\u2019m crushed because my belief system has been based on false notions and wishful thinking.<\/p>\n<p>The attitude I usually have is, \u201cGive it to me.\u201d\u00a0 I would call upon my\u00a0high self consciousness and ask, \u201cAm I ready for this?\u201d The\u00a0high self\u00a0can say, \u201cNo, let\u2019s not do this right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If your three-year-old son says, \u201cI heard all these sounds, and it seemed really strange when I walked into your room last night and saw what you and mommy were doing.\u201d\u00a0 How do I explain that to my son in a way that lets him have the truth, but also in a way that he can take it in\u00a0<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0have a greater level of understanding later?\u00a0 How do I explain it so he can have an \u201cAha!\u201d moment when he is really ready to see and understand what that is?\u00a0 There is a practicality in this.\u00a0 Consider our higher consciousness, our\u00a0soul consciousness, understands and would order it up that way.<\/p>\n<p>Why is it that you are not given anything you can\u2019t handle?\u00a0 How is that?\u00a0 Because it would be a waste to give you what you couldn\u2019t handle.\u00a0 So, it\u2019s not given to you.\u00a0 You are not ready.\u00a0 But you may say, \u201cOh, yes I am!\u201d\u00a0 Do you hear the fool talking?\u00a0 Fools talk like that.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m boastful.\u00a0 I\u2019m ready for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That is a time when you can hear the laughter up in the higher consciousness.\u00a0 \u201cLook who thinks they\u2019re ready for everything!\u201d\u00a0 Then it\u2019s, \u201cHey, let\u2019s watch this.\u00a0 It is going to be a great show here!\u201d\u00a0 Not out of mocking or ridicule, but out of joy.<\/p>\n<p>Joy\u00a0is what is actually coming.\u00a0Everything is being used for upliftment and for a positive creation.\u00a0 Does that mean murder, mayhem, injustice, and cheating are all serving a high purpose?\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 Part of that would be for us to stop that.\u00a0 It is allowed. Go towards the disruptive, disturbing, and painful; causing suffering at a level where we would feel it, think it, and be ravaged by it.\u00a0 Then, in our compassion, we would feel the pain and suffering as an opportunity to be aware of what we would rather feel.\u00a0 Just have that awareness.<\/p>\n<p>It is something like pleasure.\u00a0 If you go towards sensual pleasure, I\u2019d say, \u201cHmm\u2026you know there is a higher pleasure.\u201d\u00a0 Not that sensual pleasure is wrong or bad.\u00a0 It just has a limitation.\u00a0 It goes so far and then enters into the \u201claw of diminishing returns\u201d if you indulge past the pleasure point.<\/p>\n<p>You might say, \u201cIf I did that, I\u2019d have pleasure.\u00a0 If I do it again, I\u2019ll have more pleasure.\u00a0 And if I do it as many times as I can, I\u2019ll have even more pleasure.\u201d\u00a0 That\u2019s off.\u00a0 There is what I would call a \u201csweet spot.\u201d\u00a0 You could ask, \u201cIs that the highest good?\u201d\u00a0 For sure.\u00a0 Yes, it is.\u00a0 \u201cWell, how do I get to that?\u201d\u00a0 Great question!\u00a0 Part of that would be your intention.<\/p>\n<p>You may say, \u201cI want to be in the highest good, to serve the highest good.\u201d\u00a0 Let\u2019s see if you are willing to do that if you\u2019re ready to make that choice.\u00a0 If you are, you will make that choice naturally, freely, and openly \u2013 again and again.\u00a0 What if we don\u2019t?\u00a0\u00a0<strong><em>There<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is the suffering.\u00a0 We are somehow off.\u00a0 What comes to us when we\u2019re off?\u00a0 Pain, suffering and separation.\u00a0 We have the experience of, \u201cI don\u2019t like that. That doesn\u2019t feel very good.\u00a0 It\u2019s unpleasant and uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes when we are getting healed, initially it will feel very painful.\u00a0 If you broke your arm, when the bones actually split, they have to reset your bone into its proper alignment.\u00a0 That could hurt like hell, more than when you broke it.\u00a0 You could be thinking, \u201cWhat the hell are they doing?\u201d\u00a0 They may say, \u201cI\u2019m helping your healing, resetting your arm so it will heal.\u00a0 You don\u2019t want it to heal the way it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maybe, in our compassion, we\u2019d say, \u201cLet\u2019s do that so you\u2019re not around to feel it. We\u2019ll give you a painkiller or anesthesia.\u201d\u00a0 That is allowed to a degree.\u00a0 But there are some things where I\u2019d say, \u201cWe need you here in the body for that to happen.\u201d\u00a0 In part, it would be reinforcing, \u201cI don\u2019t want to do that again.\u00a0 Once was way past enough.\u201d\u00a0 Right.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you become the \u201cangel at the gate\u201d for others.\u00a0 You are the angel who says, \u201cHey brother, I don\u2019t think you want to do that.\u00a0 Look at me.\u00a0 I did what you are about to do.\u201d\u00a0 Get to the place that whatever your disturbance, it\u2019s yours.\u00a0 If you blame it on somebody else or on the situation, you can go back to the class and start over.<\/p>\n<p>You need to be a responsible creator.\u00a0 One hundred percent.\u00a0 No blame, and no blaming yourself either.\u00a0 No calling yourself mean nasty names because you are better than that.\u00a0 Stop that.\u00a0 That does not help.<\/p>\n<p>What helps?\u00a0 Deal with it.\u00a0 Be open to what it is.\u00a0 Just take it in.\u00a0 That might be shocking.\u00a0 You might say, \u201cI never thought I\u2019d create, promote or allow anything like this.\u201d\u00a0 Well, you did.\u00a0 At some level you chose that, even if you don\u2019t remember.\u00a0 Do you want to go back to the class and start over?\u00a0 You chose that.\u00a0 One more time, you chose it.\u00a0 Because then you get the lesson.\u00a0 The information is coming to you.\u00a0 Let\u2019s call it the teachings.\u00a0 It\u2019s there.<\/p>\n<p>What about when we indulge in any way as a negative pattern?\u00a0 That is fairly common \u2013 negative or stinking thinking.\u00a0 How would we change that?\u00a0 Get into Peace Theological Seminary and take some courses or classes.\u00a0 Ask for the Traveler to work with you at the highest rate, as much as you can handle.\u00a0 That can be like a bucking bronco.\u00a0 You might find you don\u2019t quite stay on the Traveler\u2019s way of teaching. \u00a0You may reject or resist it.\u00a0 That\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n<p>Keep going.\u00a0 If you want to learn, show up.\u00a0 That works.\u00a0 At some point we need to acquire the learning.\u00a0 That is one of the reasons we are here in this world.\u00a0 What\u2019s another reason?\u00a0 Maybe we are sent here by a divine order.\u00a0 That way we move more into our transcendent nature.\u00a0 Then we become of service, as an example-ship and a demonstration.<\/p>\n<p>When you learn what you come here to learn, you become a beautiful being.\u00a0 You are going to help others in tremendous ways, yet often very simple and ordinary ways by just being human.<\/p>\n<p>In our world there is a transcendent experience if we would more fully take in our circumstances.\u00a0 We can come into the rhythm that is in the soil, the ground, the atmosphere where we are \u2013 not just in a particular thing or condition.\u00a0 We often make circumstantial things like wealth, riches, whatever it is that we desire, the focus.\u00a0 There are things that we do not need to acquire.\u00a0 There are things that are much more valuable if we would just take them in.\u00a0 Slow ourselves down and make ourselves available.<\/p>\n<p>One of the ways I see that is in John-Roger\u2019s \u201cSecret to Soul Transcendence\u201d which says, \u201cLook for the good in all people and things and leave the rest to God.\u201d\u00a0 When we are with people, we look for the good.\u00a0 We make that our first move.
