In an introduction, Paul explains what prompted him to write the poem and, after the introduction, Paul reads the poem that he shared with the class:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iPTZ4A_ZgPU?si=EHcUNLBPubqIAKY1\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the poem in text form:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>As Above So Below, So Below As Above<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em>A poem by Paul Hunting<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s rather a lot they dare not mention<br \/>\nThe Christ\u2019s real work was in a higher dimension<\/p>\n<p>He truly was a transcendent fellah<br \/>\nBut you can\u2019t see much when you\u2019re stuck in the cellar<\/p>\n<p>It seems the truth forbidden<br \/>\nIn Shakespeare\u2019s verse is hidden<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s all told in symbols said the wily Bard<br \/>\nLook at it this way, it ain\u2019t really that hard.<\/p>\n<p>See what he writes with his magical quill<br \/>\nIf you\u2019re a bit like me it\u2019ll give you a thrill<\/p>\n<p>Few people realised as God\u2019s plan unfurled<br \/>\nIt\u2019s all inside us, we are the world.<\/p>\n<p>So come with us on an inner-world trip<br \/>\nA rocket to the star of mastership<\/p>\n<p>As we go together on our mystical travels<br \/>\nWe\u2019ll see the mystery as it unravels<\/p>\n<p>Christ\u2019s one small step upon the waters:<br \/>\nWas a giant leap for his sons and daughters.<\/p>\n<p>In the beginning a day is not really a day<br \/>\nA day is a name the initiates say.<\/p>\n<p>Hewn from the Word, the sound, the name<br \/>\nCame six days to chant &#8211; not quite the same.<\/p>\n<p>The first was the True Name that rules all God\u2019s might<br \/>\nThen came the shadow that rules only Night.<\/p>\n<p>Li-Shiva, he came as a serpent called Night<br \/>\nwith fork\u00e8d tongue and venomous bite.<\/p>\n<p>He lied, beguiled, deflowered the virgin.<br \/>\nStole the soul and installed a false version.<\/p>\n<p>Our shame by lies and denials was covered.<br \/>\nBanished from heaven never recovered<\/p>\n<p>In twain he tore God\u2019s only begotten<br \/>\nGod\u2019s love and sound had mankind forgotten.<\/p>\n<p>He silenced the soul and its heavenly song<br \/>\nMade us worship just right and wrong<\/p>\n<p>We wandered lonely beneath the gable<br \/>\nof the monstrous rule of Cain and Abel.<\/p>\n<p>Born in sin from Eve\u2019s violation<br \/>\nThe world became a polluted creation.<\/p>\n<p>Off was cut the tree of life<br \/>\nAll mankind was in trouble and strife<\/p>\n<p>Adam and Eve was rent asunder<br \/>\nOur ear fell deaf to the sounds of the thunder<\/p>\n<p>Abr\u2019am was told thou shalt remember<br \/>\nCut off the end of the honourable member<\/p>\n<p>To woman we give a monthly reminder<br \/>\nAnd seal the entrance to the vagina<\/p>\n<p>Rukmini\u2019s canal was blocked seven times<br \/>\nTo seal Li-Shiva\u2019s terrible crimes.<\/p>\n<p>The light of the world was near extinction.<br \/>\nAll because they yearned distinction.<\/p>\n<p>Never again could we chant our tone.<br \/>\nNever again could we find our way home.<\/p>\n<p>We railed and gnashed<br \/>\nbut our hopes were dashed.<\/p>\n<p>Eve and Adam were split like a hair.<br \/>\nLove between us we nary could share<\/p>\n<p>But God in his mercy always sees us<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Soon as could he sent us Jesus<\/span><\/p>\n<p>God in Jesus was born once more.<br \/>\nTo end the tyrant and his diabolical law.<\/p>\n<p>Hallelujah! All hail, he comes again \u2013<br \/>\nin thunder lightning and in rain.<\/p>\n<p>The Virgin Mary was by God deflowered.<br \/>\nTheir son however was never a coward.<\/p>\n<p>He must be born as \u2018bastard\u2019 in a stable<br \/>\nTo rid the world of Cain and Abel<\/p>\n<p>In lies and guile was Christ reborn,<br \/>\nto excise the spell of the devil spawn.<\/p>\n<p>Eve\u2019s shame and sin Mary took,<br \/>\nIt\u2019s all spelled out in the Holy Book.<\/p>\n<p>Herod took innocence to the slaughter<br \/>\nSlayed first-born sons but spared the daughters<\/p>\n<p>As food in the manger was Christ\u2019s body laid<br \/>\nWaiting for that supper when he\u2019ll be betrayed.<\/p>\n<p>The body and blood Judas would sup<br \/>\nAs the sin of the world was all taken up<\/p>\n<p>With sound and fury did he turn the tables<br \/>\nI\u2019m coming to get you Cain and Abel.<\/p>\n<p>As the temple tables hit the floor<br \/>\nThus upturned was the Mosaic Law<\/p>\n<p>The blind could now see, the lame could now walk,<br \/>\nof his feats of wonder we forever shall talk.<\/p>\n<p>Five thousand initiated with the Word made bread.<br \/>\nThe very Word that gave breath to the dead.<\/p>\n<p>Into his body took Christ the devil.<br \/>\nIn pain and blood was he now to revel.<\/p>\n<p>Do it quickly to Judas he\u2019d say<br \/>\nIn the garden they\u2019d sleep, he\u2019d bleed and he\u2019d pray<\/p>\n<p>God sent an angel to help his brave son<br \/>\nIf this is the way, thy will be done<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll drink from the cup, the poisoned chalice<br \/>\nI\u2019ll purge the toxin without any malice<\/p>\n<p>With the fatal kiss was Satan\u2019s death sealed.<br \/>\nNow at last could man\u2019s ear be healed.<\/p>\n<p>Pilate\u2019s hands washed off the blood sublime<br \/>\nno water on earth could cleanse his crime.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Barren sceptre in hand crown of thorns upon head<br \/>\n<\/span>Satan\u2019s reign is soon to be dead.<\/p>\n<p>God cannot be mocked save at your cost<br \/>\nHe shall return on the wind at Pentecost.<\/p>\n<p>To the place of the skull the tree of life was borne<br \/>\nWhere the kingdom of Satan down was torn<\/p>\n<p>Nailed hands sealed the heaven, his feet the earth<br \/>\nThree days of blood till mankind\u2019s rebirth<\/p>\n<p>On the cross hung Satan in the body of Christ<br \/>\nVile sons by his breast Shakespeare in his side.<\/p>\n<p>Before destruction goeth our pride<br \/>\nBaruch hashem!
