This path began in London’s Knightsbridge, at the historic Old Sheraton Hotel. Though John-Roger (J-R) was originally intended to ordain me, an unexpected illness led John Morton to step in for the ordination. In that moment, I felt J-R’s energy guiding us, and it sparked a deep spiritual connection with London—a bond that has since become an integral part of my life. My ordination also marks 36 years of being on J-R’s staff. I have never let that go, even while he is in Spirit. He continues to be my boss, guiding my path from beyond.

One of the most significant experiences of my journey happened after PAT IV in August 1988, when we began the Russia/USSR trip. While on an overnight train to St. Petersburg, Russia, I was initiated by J-R—a deeply sacred moment that I will always treasure. Shortly after, I witnessed J-R declare to everyone in West Berlin that he had “put a worm in the wall,” a profound statement given the historic events unfolding at the time. The journey eventually led me to London, where my ordination took place, further anchoring my spiritual path.

From 2006 to 2013, during J-R’s later years of travel, London became a spiritual home for me. Those visits were filled with cherished memories—celebrating J-R’s birthday, attending book signings, castle hunting, and screenings of Spiritual Warriors, The Wayshower, and Mystical Traveler films all over London. Each of these moments holds a special place in my heart. I fondly recall afternoons at Bovey Castle, indulging in the British tradition of tea and scones with clotted cream, adding beauty and simplicity to our adventures. Our search for Tintagel became another chapter in these delightful journeys.

Beyond personal joys, I’m struck by the profound work J-R accomplished in the UK. He established a presence of Light that brought people together, creating a community that continues to grow. John Morton, as the living Traveler, carries this torch forward, and his recent seminar on September 24th was a fitting tribute to J-R’s legacy, who would have turned 90 this year. The seminar was deeply moving, with heartfelt contributions from many who have been touched by the teachings, affirming the enduring strength of J-R’s work.

One of the most memorable moments for me during this seminar was the honor of singing a cappella one of J-R’s favorite songs, “I Wish for You”, written by Carl Wilson. Sharing this with the community was a deeply touching experience. The energy in the room was palpable, a celebration of Light, sacredness, and love that continues to guide us all. It felt as if J-R’s presence, John Morton’s leadership, and the love of everyone present merged into one powerful experience.

This year’s seminar was especially meaningful, marking both the 10th anniversary of J-R’s passing on October 22, 2014, and his birthday—September 24, 1934. His presence continues to be felt, his legacy living on through each of us. John Morton, as the living Traveler, upholds this Light, guiding us in the same spirit of love and service that J-R embodied. My walks this time around St. John’s Wood were filled with reflection, remembering the early days of MSIA at Nicholas Brown and Caroline Nathan’s flat, not far from the iconic Abbey Road.

Looking back, the United Kingdom has offered so much—a community of ministers and friends, including Natalie Franks, Zoe GoLightly, Nat Sharratt, Sam Westmacott, Sam Wigen, Ruth Rochelle, Spindrift Al Swaidi, Eleni and AJ Clark, and Louise Lautman—some of whom continue to serve in this life, while others have passed into Spirit. Under the guidance of John-Roger, many of us have worked together on this spiritual path. To those not mentioned by name, know that you are held in love. This country and its people have been a vital part of the journey, and I am forever grateful.

In love and service,

Jsu Jesus Garcia

View the Photos

As I reflect on the 36 years since my ordination on August 29th, 1988, my heart overflows with gratitude for the blessings, experiences, and the incredible people with whom I have journeyed together.
