<\/a><\/p>\nA\u00a0minister in New Mexico shared about an 89-year-old friend who has been in hospice care for a while now. She and her husband had been visiting her regularly. On one visit, the\u00a0octogenarian\u00a0suggested that they wait to come the next time until she called with the message, \u201cToday is a good day, and I\u2019m happy to have you visit.\u201d<\/p>\n
About\u00a03 months had passed when the phone rang. \u00a0It was the son of their friend letting them know that, \u201cToday is a good day and she would love to see them.”<\/p>\n
The\u00a0minister who was on her way out the door for a long needed outing for herself stopped and checked inside, asking herself what was important in that moment. Although she had been looking forward to this day alone, it was clear to her that visiting her friend was more on purpose.<\/p>\n
She\u00a0and her husband visited with their friend for close to 3 hours, which had not been possible before. They laughed, told stories, and everyone was lifted. The son said he had not seen his mother like this in months.<\/p>\n
This\u00a0minister was aware of the oneness of faith that was present. Her friend, a devout Catholic, and she a minister in MSIA, were together in the oneness and the joy of Spirit which was palpable to all. \u00a0Letting go of what was planned to be in service to what\u00a0was present blessed everyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
