Q: What is your definition of intuition? Why aren’t there more people using it?<\/p>\n

J-R: I define intuition as the feeling and the reasoning mind coming together. A lot of people haven’t been able to use intuition because they won’t stay in the reasoning mind; they move into the rational or irrational mind, and then instead of going to feelings, they go into the emotions. The emotions are under the feelings and the irrational or rational mind is under the reasoning mind.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: What is the difference between feelings and emotions?<\/p>\n

J-R: Feelings are just information and below the feelings, which are not negative, are the emotions. There is little if no intellect in the emotions — they are just energy in motion.\u00a0 Often, the difficulty is that we do not direct this energy in an uplifting way, so we may find ourselves expressing anger, hostility, hysteria, etc. That’s not “bad,” but it may not be the way you want to direct your emotional energy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: I am Jewish and I am comfortable in believing that Jesus, like all of us, is the son of God. I believe he, like Moses, played an important role in human growth towards the awareness of God. Jesus is God because we are all God and he is no more God than I am. Does this conflict with the views MSIA teaches and will my belief be a possible block in my path toward God or soul awareness?<\/p>\n

J-R: Your beliefs will not block your path to God and there is no conflict with what MSIA teaches and your perceptions. Your present perceptions can be amplified and expanded by saying we all have within us the potential to actualize our God or Christ self. Jesus reached his potential and manifested the Christ more fully than anyone had done at that time. He became the example many of us chose to follow because he represented the God-Man.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: What is the significance of initiations in past lives?<\/p>\n

J-R: If you were working with the Mystical Traveler and received initiation in another life it might speed up the process here and now. If you received initiation in another line of energy other than the Mystical Traveler, it probably would not have a whole lot of effect now, except in a general way — meaning that if you had been living lives of upliftment and seeking the higher Light, you might have less karma to work through in this life.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: I hear you talk a lot about love. Will you define what you mean by love?<\/p>\n

J-R: It can be different things to people. It may be patience — patience to let things happen the way they’re going to happen. It may be tolerance and acceptance where you let people be who they are, even if you don’t think it’s terrific. Loving may also be serving someone with no thought of recognition or gain. It may mean being good to yourself and knowing that you are doing the best you can. It may be living your life in honesty and integrity and keeping your agreements with yourself and others. Loving may also come in many other forms and expressions. Loving is not limited!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: What is meant by the phrase “Jesus died for our sins?” What actually happened on the cross?<\/p>\n

J-R: Jesus was so willing to cooperate with Spirit or the God force within him, that he actually “took” all of the negativity of the world with him to the cross. Another way of saying this is that he loved so much he was willing to stand forward and sacrifice himself for all of us. Up to this point in history, we as humans were really stuck in the negativity of the planet, but when Jesus died on the cross he provided an example for all of us to follow and therefore a way for all of us to become free. In that way, he was a wayshower and teacher to all of us.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: I have been reading a lot lately about the power of the subconscious mind and the power of thought. Exactly what is the power of thought and how important is thought in the “scheme of things?”<\/p>\n

J-R: The best way to answer that is to tell you “energy follows thought.” That means if you are thinking about a hot fudge sundae, all the levels of your consciousness come in line to bring that to you. The same is true for envisioning and moving toward higher awareness and soul transcendence. All of you will start making that happen. You will receive cooperation from your mind, emotions, Basic Selves and even your subconscious will be guiding you… even though you will not be consciously aware of that level. That’s why it becomes so important to watch our thoughts because we will create in a physical way those things we have thought about. Also, be careful what you say. Listen to what you say and be sure it represents what you really want in your life.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: I heard somebody say that Gandhi was a soul initiate. Is that true?<\/p>\n

J-R: Gandhi was not what you’d call a soul initiate, but he radiated very pure, soul energy. His soul was so close to his heart, voice and eyes that when it moved in him, it would effect masses of people. His demonstration of passivity was not submissiveness — it was assertive in all situations and the action of the soul is to be assertive, which does not mean aggressive or violent. Gandhi was not an initiate of the Traveler but he had access to the Sound Current through an initiation he took from one of the masters in India.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Q: If you know what is going on from a spiritual level without being told, why do you encourage people to write to you?<\/p>\n

J-R: People are free to do what they want. Often as people write to me, they experience an intimate contact with the presence of the Traveler at that moment. It is for themselves that they write, not for me. The more contact there is, the more their consciousness is focused on the spiritual thrust in their lives. The second part to that is that the Traveler will not inflict on anyone. It must be asked in order to actively intervene in a situation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
