{"id":112675,"date":"2026-02-17T17:30:26","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T01:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/?p=112675"},"modified":"2026-02-20T10:36:18","modified_gmt":"2026-02-20T18:36:18","slug":"putting-our-requests-and-prayers-in-gods-hands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/archives\/112675-putting-our-requests-and-prayers-in-gods-hands","title":{"rendered":"Putting Our Requests and Prayers in God\u2019s Hands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Once we put things into the highest good of all concerned, we don\u2019t necessarily know what that is.\u00a0\u00a0We are not necessarily conscious of it.\u00a0\u00a0Once you put that intention for the highest good, that is what\u2019s being done.<\/em> &#8211; John Morton<\/p>\n<p><strong>This article comes from a sharing session John-Roger and John Morton had in a Question &amp; Answer seminar for MSIA Ministers and Initiates held in Pacifica, California in December 2002.\u00a0This particular excerpt is from John Morton\u2019s sharing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One way you can look at the level we are working with is it\u2019s of the whole spirit \u2013 the pure clear, positive consciousness of God.\u00a0\u00a0That is already going one hundred percent.\u00a0\u00a0When you make a request or prayer, you really are putting it on yourself.\u00a0\u00a0You are reminding yourself, putting in the commitment and dedication, activating that presence so you can call yourself forward to the Christ, to what you are asking for.\u00a0\u00a0It puts it on you.<\/p>\n<p>Be careful you don\u2019t drop your end and say, \u201cI gave it to John-Roger.\u00a0\u00a0I gave it to John.\u00a0\u00a0I gave it to the Traveler, the Christ.\u00a0\u00a0I\u2019m done.\u00a0\u00a0There is nothing left for me to do.\u00a0\u00a0They have got to take care of it because I gave it to them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nice idea.\u00a0\u00a0If it works for you, great.\u00a0\u00a0Sometimes that is all that is necessary.\u00a0\u00a0Just put it into the Light.\u00a0\u00a0Bring your consciousness right to that moment as you do it.\u00a0\u00a0It is done.\u00a0\u00a0What you are asking for to come forward physically, that also is done.\u00a0\u00a0There is nothing else to do.\u00a0\u00a0It is over and in place.\u00a0\u00a0Watch.\u00a0\u00a0Don\u2019t interfere.\u00a0\u00a0Be careful you don\u2019t get in the way, which can happen when we start worrying and being overly concerned about what we are praying for.<\/p>\n<p>If you plant a seed in the ground and dig it up the next day and then plant it again and dig it up again the next day, you are interfering with the process.\u00a0 \u00a0If you leave it alone, it will take care of itself.\u00a0\u00a0What it needs is in place.\u00a0\u00a0When you go in, thinking you are checking, making sure it\u2019s working well, you are interfering with it.\u00a0\u00a0That\u2019s when we get overly involved in what we want.<\/p>\n<p>Another awareness is to realize that once we put things into the highest good of all concerned, we don\u2019t necessarily know what that is.\u00a0\u00a0We are not necessarily conscious of it.\u00a0\u00a0Once you put that intention for the highest good, that is what\u2019s being done.\u00a0\u00a0If it doesn\u2019t come forward as you pictured or asked for it, it is important that you give room for that and trust it.\u00a0\u00a0There is a greater thing going on that you may not be conscious and aware of.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than try to fix it saying, \u201cHey God, what\u2019s the matter with you?\u00a0\u00a0Didn\u2019t you hear the prayer?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0No,\u00a0<strong><em><u>you<\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0need to hear the prayer, which is for the highest good of all concerned.\u00a0\u00a0Allow for that.\u00a0\u00a0To do that requires your full presence in the moment, so you can attend to what is before you as it manifests itself.\u00a0\u00a0We cannot cross the bridge until we are on the bridge.\u00a0\u00a0That is when we cross it.<\/p>\n<p>There is a practice you can do which is to prepare the place so that the place itself is fully available.\u00a0\u00a0If we were looking at it medically, we don\u2019t want the place infected. Let\u2019s clear out what would adversely infect a patient.\u00a0\u00a0Clean out the room. Bring forward the mechanisms, tools, materials, knowledge and the ability.\u00a0\u00a0Bring in all the support and let\u2019s have that support organized, so that when it comes to do the action, we are serving in the very best way.\u00a0\u00a0Everything is available.<\/p>\n<p>Even in what we do physically, there is a level of what we\u2019re asking for that is beyond what we can do physically.\u00a0\u00a0Our requests and prayers are truly in God\u2019s hands.\u00a0\u00a0What that asks of us is to constantly release, let go and move on so what we are doing is in cooperation with what is.<\/p>\n<p>Your awareness is important.\u00a0 \u00a0Invoking the protection works with you from the higher consciousness with energies continually filling, surrounding and placing the intention to protect, allowing only that which is for the highest good.<\/p>\n<p>Baruch Bashan<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4>Blessing of Turning to the Lord<br \/>\nFrom Blessings Here and Now<\/h4>\n<p>Dear Lord, for those of us who are willing,<br \/>\nwe find ourselves gathered with You again<br \/>\nin that place in the Spirit where all souls gather,<br \/>\nand that\u2019s of all Your creation.<br \/>\nIt all comes into the Soul until we find the great Light.<br \/>\nWe feel, sense and consciously realize the great love, the great truth.<br \/>\nWe take a moment in this place<br \/>\nwhere we are in this world, in our body, to let go<br \/>\nand do this eternal exercise where we let go<br \/>\nand give it up and surrender to You.<br \/>\nYou are the one we can trust completely,<br \/>\nand yet You don\u2019t demand it.<br \/>\nYou give us the choice.<br \/>\nSo when we\u2019re ready to let go in our trust<br \/>\nand to move across whatever faith is necessary,<br \/>\nwhich we realize is in our own darkness where we have turned away.<br \/>\nWe ask through the Traveler and the Christ and all the gifts in Spirit,<br \/>\nthat You reach into our consciousness loosening what is attached,<br \/>\nbringing the Light into what has been the dark,<br \/>\nwhere we have turned away in shame or fear.<br \/>\nWe take this moment again to extend throughout our existence<br \/>\nthat we are those who are walking in-step with the Traveler,<br \/>\nclaiming our liberation.<br \/>\nWe know we have been brought to this world for that purpose.<br \/>\nWe give thanks that we have chosen back,<br \/>\nand in Your presence, we are reminded it is done.<br \/>\nWe rejoice that we are in this place<br \/>\nwhere we must do each and every choice that remains.<br \/>\nWe ask for Your assistance to hold.<br \/>\nWe give thanks that we are shown the way again and again.<br \/>\nYou teach us it does not matter what has happened.<br \/>\nWe let go, release, and trust.<br \/>\nWe embrace this new freedom.<br \/>\nYou remind us that the little things that are our concerns<br \/>\nare indeed little because in the Spirit they have no real consequence.<br \/>\nThey are simply circumstantial,<br \/>\nand we are to love each and every circumstance.<br \/>\nWith our whole being,<br \/>\nwe receive Your strength, Your wisdom,<br \/>\nand all the gifts that You bring to us.<br \/>\nWe rejoice again in the simplicity of our child-like nature,<br \/>\na pure nature that You brought us into this world to become.<br \/>\nWe forgive ourself for what we have forgotten,<br \/>\nand we accept Your forgiveness all along the way<br \/>\nthat continually restores us and embraces us so we are healed.<br \/>\nWe are realigned.
