Whether they are laughing or crying, serious or humorous, angry or joyful, emotional or neutral, etc. Well, to me, staying on purpose with higher consciousness and finding God in everything I see is quite the blessing, and I was reminded of how to experience such blessing at the 3 hours class that Paul Kaye gave on “Spiritual Principles of Health and Well-Being” this Sunday, August 5th at Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens (Prana).

Through very simple, yet highly important practices, like breathing, having happy thoughts, smiling, gentle eyes, standing/walking straight, and keeping an attitude of gratitude, amongst other completely inexpensive tools, Paul’s lecturette made me evaluate how much I was using these great tools in my day by day life, and I realized that there was space for improvement on my part. So today I not only enjoyed using every single principle we practiced, but got something really powerful out of them.

For instance, as I was walking down the hall of my building this morning, I encountered one of my neighbors, a lady who had had a stroke last year and lost mobility in almost all of her body, but with therapy she’s been recuperating her strength to walk slowly with the help of a walker. However, her face has no expression. But when I said hello to her, I looked into her eyes and I was touched with that gentleness of the Christ that clearly said to me “hello” with a big smile in her heart. That was a blissful moment.

Similar to that, I was putting a smile on my face regardless of what was happening around me throughout the day. I walked straight. I used some breathing techniques. I kept coming back to happy thoughts in my mind and thanking for each little experience I had and, believe me when I say that, before yesterday, I would’ve thought that today wasn’t one of the best days of my life based on how it evolved, and probably I would’ve complained about it, but on the contrary, here is my sincere heartfelt statement: “Thank you Lord for the many Blessings you showered upon me today. Please help me continue seeing everything through your gentle eyes”.

In conclusion, I wouldn’t underestimate the power of these types of classes and practices, and I applaud the efforts of everybody involved in creating them to make them available to us. I am eternally grateful for the teachings that John-Roger has brought forward over the years and for those who continue expanding them, so thank you Debbie Roth, and thanks to all of you who made this possible. And last but not least, I want to thank Paul Kaye for reminding me of the things in life that I have control of and can change. The things I can influence. And the things I have no control of and cannot change. What awareness!

God Bless You, In Gratitude!
Clara Jaramillo
VIEW THE PHOTOS FROM THE EVENT

Comments from Participants:

“I always love listening to Paul Kaye.
