{"id":4366,"date":"2013-01-10T16:46:04","date_gmt":"2013-01-11T00:46:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/?p=4366"},"modified":"2013-01-10T16:46:04","modified_gmt":"2013-01-11T00:46:04","slug":"a-new-year-and-a-new-marriage-resolution-spa-day-with-the-marriage-of-john-morton-and-leigh-taylor-young","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.msia.org\/newdayherald\/archives\/4366-a-new-year-and-a-new-marriage-resolution-spa-day-with-the-marriage-of-john-morton-and-leigh-taylor-young","title":{"rendered":"A New Year and A New Marriage:  Resolution Spa Day with the Marriage of John Morton and Leigh Taylor Young"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Year\u2019s Spa Day begins with a prelude to one of the best love stories ever told.<\/p>\n<p>John Morton leads us on a spectacular journey into the arms of the Beloved with a divine demonstration of openness and vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p>We call in the Light by chanting the sacred names of God as a group, inviting empathy and God\u2019s energy into the Home of the Traveler.<\/p>\n<p>John stands before us elegantly dressed in groom attire with his heart as open as a child, cradled in the arms of love in clear sight.<\/p>\n<p>I am invited to share in a sacred love story of ancient ascent, where all time and space converge, full, whole, infinite, and satisfied. \u00a0I am once again privy to walk with God in my heart, experiencing the <em>souls <\/em>of my feet breech the knowing that there exists an experience of heaven while walking on earth.<\/p>\n<p>John shares about forgiveness, freedom and resolution.\u00a0 He shares, \u201cI forgive you\u201d.\u00a0 He says, \u201cThe freedom we take for ourselves is the freedom we give to others.\u201d\u00a0 I take the opportunity to write down what I want more of in my life and the gratitude for all that I have manifested thus far.<\/p>\n<p>As I write down my last few words about my New Year\u2019s resolution, John shifts gears and shares from Leigh Taylor Young\u2019s journal.\u00a0 His voice is filled with compassion, gratitude and humility.\u00a0\u00a0 His eyes fill with tears.\u00a0 His voice vibrates as the ocean does when waves are forming.<\/p>\n<p>He reads a journal entry from January 30<sup>th<\/sup>, 2005. \u201cThe man for me comes forward equal or better than John Morton.\u201d\u00a0 Talk about resolution.\u00a0 John talks about the precision that Leigh writes with as she manifests her heart\u2019s desire. \u00a0\u00a0He stands laying claim to what she has called forward and what we all witness as the love story unfolds.<\/p>\n<p>I marvel at Leigh\u2019s ability to create what is in her heart.\u00a0 I receive her blessing as my own, for what we behold we can become.\u00a0 \u00a0I am grateful to witness the ways in which I am one with God.<\/p>\n<p>John says with great honor, what was singing in her heart was singing to him.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"340\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.livestream.com\/embed\/msia?layout=4&amp;clip=flv_90a48947-4281-4077-8c15-53abb74054b3&amp;height=340&amp;width=560&amp;autoplay=false\" style=\"border:0;outline:0\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size: 11px;padding-top:10px;text-align:center;width:560px\">Watch <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livestream.com\/?utm_source=lsplayer&amp;utm_medium=embed&amp;utm_campaign=footerlinks\" title=\"live streaming video\">live streaming video<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livestream.com\/msia?utm_source=lsplayer&amp;utm_medium=embed&amp;utm_campaign=footerlinks\" title=\"Watch msia at livestream.com\">msia<\/a> at livestream.com<\/div>\n<p>For me, the New Year is a new beginning, where we make resolutions, recommit ourselves to the best inside of us coming forward, and let go of all the past that no longer serves us.\u00a0 I forgive it all and step free onto a blank page where I write down my own love story.\u00a0 I tell my story as it vibrates within God\u2019s creation.<br \/>\n<div style=\"max-width: 640px; height: 400px\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\" border=\"0\">\n<\/iframe>\n<noscript>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/s\/aHsjDyJUWr\" target=\"_blank\">Click to View<\/a><\/noscript>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Wedding begins\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>John relaxes into the experience of the groom and his expression melts into a sea of gratitude, reverence and playfulness.\u00a0 There is a whimsical vibration floating through the air and loving is contagious.\u00a0 John begins with a story.\u00a0 He said, in 1985 J-R asked him a question:\u00a0 Did you know that Leigh Taylor-Young is interested in marrying you? John later found himself sitting next to Leigh on a plane to Cairo.\u00a0 While sitting next to Leigh, John says to Leigh, \u201cJohn Roger tells me you\u2019re interested in marrying me\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>We get to use our imaginations as to how the whole thing played.<\/p>\n<p>The moment we all have been waiting for presents itself. The Foyer is filled with the angelic voices of Eric and Denise Lumiere singing \u201cBeloved One\u201d.\u00a0 The room is full with open hearts. John walks down the aisle to greet Leigh with a smile that is palpable.<\/p>\n<p>Leigh is wearing a classic white dress that hugs her gorgeous figure.\u00a0 Her head is crowned with white roses and green leaves.\u00a0 She is a beautiful maiden queen.\u00a0 John escorts her to the stage.\u00a0 I watch as a waterfall of enthusiasm overflows from the stage into the room.<\/p>\n<p>As Leigh and John ascend to the stage, \u201cBeloved One\u201d is still playing.\u00a0 They face one another and sing like children.\u00a0 Original innocence rings through this moment.\u00a0 The song ends and silence slips in as they look deeply into each other\u2019s eyes, enjoying the pause.<\/p>\n<p>Waiting for the light to come forward, Leigh takes a deep breath, and while holding Johns hand, calls in the Light.<\/p>\n<p>John and Leigh announce that they are the pastors for the wedding.<\/p>\n<p>John goes back and forth between pastor and groom.\u00a0 Leigh giggles and shines her radiating smile throughout time.<\/p>\n<p>John talks about the poem by Kahlil Gibran \u201cSpeak to us of marriage\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 He remembered the phrase about \u201cNot growing in one another\u2019s shadows\u201d.\u00a0 I flash back to Leigh\u2019s journal entry where she asked for a man that would support her in flying.\u00a0 The poem by Gibran reads:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThen Almitra spoke again and said, And what of Marriage, master?\u00a0 And he answered saying:\u00a0 You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But let there be space in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Love one another, but make not a bond of love:\u00a0 Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Fill each other\u2019s cup but drink not from one cup.\u00a0\u00a0 Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each other of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Give your hearts, but not into each other\u2019s keeping.\u00a0 For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And stand together yet not too near together:\u00a0 For pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and cypress grow not in each other\u2019s shadow<strong>.\u201d\u00a0 Kahlil Gibran<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Leigh shares a dream where John offered his hand as they walked along a beautiful path.\u00a0 Birds were tweeting and singing.\u00a0 The walk was glorious.\u00a0 Then all of a sudden there was an immense mountain.\u00a0 John turned to Leigh and said, \u201cAre you ready\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Leigh said, \u201cI am ready\u201d.\u00a0 They began running together up the mountain.\u00a0 John said the dream speaks of Leigh\u2019s willingness.<\/p>\n<p>Both begin the exchange of rings and candid wedding vows.\u00a0 John shares in a spontaneous string of loving words.\u00a0 He gives his gratitude for Leigh and God having sent her, bringing forth his deepest resolution.<\/p>\n<p>Leigh talks about this walk not being for the faint of heart and the opportunity to step up in love, becoming strong in loving and truly loving it all.\u00a0 She lets John know that his life will not go unnoticed or unwitnessed because she will notice most sacred experiences of human existence, to be loved and to love unconditionally, and to be there with another as God is with us through it all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ready for the rings?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>John places two rings on Leigh\u2019s finger one ring for the marriage to the Traveler and one ring for the marriage to John Morton, the man we know and love.\u00a0 Leigh then places a ring on John\u2019s finger and they pronounce themselves husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Morton.<\/p>\n<p>A wild applause of joy, laughter, and tears fills the room.<\/p>\n<p>John and Leigh walk the Labyrinth as Mr. and Mrs. Morton.\u00a0 They play as they navigate the turns and small spaces, staying close to one another, taking one step at a time.\u00a0 We cheer them on, other and cherish a day filled with infinite possibilities as the Spiritual marriage unfolds.\u00a0 We share our blessings with the bride and groom.\u00a0 We dance.\u00a0 We dance.\u00a0 We enjoy John in his top hat, expressing his Prince charming, fully available and sharing the love at hand.<\/p>\n<p>Leigh and John share the last dance together to \u201cStand by me\u201d.\u00a0 We watch, dance and applaud the beauty seeded in the home of the Traveler.<\/p>\n<p>We throw rice into the air and wave goodbye to our beloved Mrs. And Mr. Morton, for now.<\/p>\n<p>I walk away with a wonderful sense
