Julie Lurie, her Son Gabe and I arrive at Santa Monica Beach around 6:50am to meet the guys with a truck full of tables and chairs for our Easter event on the Santa Monica Beach with John Morton today. The workers look as though they got a lot more sleep than we did, as they greet us with a handshake and a smile. While they set up on our site, we start planting the welcome banners in the sand, later to be accompanied by multicolored balloons. <\/p>\n

As a few more people arrive, we stop to call ourselves forward into the Light of the Holy Spirit. Julie does the honors. We continue to set up for the event, scheduled to start at 10:00am. For me, the festivities start when we arrive. Part of the excitement is setting up. <\/p>\n

After the tables are set up, we put the tablecloths on in all the pastel shades of Easter. We end up being somewhat shorthanded so we place this in the Light and, of course, the miracle is that we are all prepared and ready to go by 10:00am.
