Billed as “Exploring Spirit in Every Day Life,” Dr. Kaye kept the audience laughing at his jokes and anecdotes, and mercilessly ribbed attendees. “Take the names of all those who didn’t stand for the standing ovation when I came in! I want to know who they are,” joked Paul. He started us off on a journey packed with reminders of all the things we can do to bring joy and Spirit into every moment of our ordinary everyday lives.

Paul shared many helpful tips from the book, “Momentum: Letting Love Lead” that he co-authored with John-Roger. “I really liked the concept of priming the pump,” shares Kate Martin, a minister from Kentucky. “Paul suggested using the phrase, ‘I love this’ when a situation is unpleasant. ‘I love this’ primes the pump to begin finding the good in the situation, allowing a positive change to be made in the situation or in my attitude.”

Certainly the simplest technique shared was watching the breath for 10 seconds. Most of the audience raised their hand to indicate they had noticed a change in the quality of their focus after they had watched their breathing for only 10 seconds. Paul suggested watching one’s breath three times a day. Certainly we can all find 30 seconds in our day to refocus inwardly and become calmer.

Many people attending had never been to an MSIA event before. Paul chose new people in the audience to offer up thoughts about what made up their “false self” such as guilt, ego and judgments. The same folks then shared what made up their “true self” — loving, joy, forgiving and accepting. The “newbies” did a great job having never been exposed to MSIA’s teachings! The audience then shared experiences in their relationships, careers, finances or health where they were not satisfied and talked through their layers until they reached the “true self”, which found much more grace and ease in the situation.

Paul kept us laughing throughout and everyone felt more peaceful and more present at the end. Paul signed copies of “Momentum: Letting Love Lead” for the participants and yummy cake was served as the audience visited and browsed the gift shop. The pump is primed for MSIA’s Conference of Momentum: Letting Love Lead!

Click here to read the article and view the photos from the IIWP BlessingsFest Fundraiser 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of the Initiates Meeting at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of the Ministers Meeting at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of Workshop Day 2 at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of Workshop Day 1 at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of the IIWP Seminar at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of the PTS Graduation at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of the Representatives Meeting at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of the Prana Open Day at Conference 2003

Click here to read the article and view the photos of the Family Retreat of Conference 2003

Dr. Paul Kaye kicked off a two hour event in the beautiful Universal Sheraton’s Grand Ballroom to an audience of a couple hundred people.
