A full schedule doesn’t stop Cleora and I from starting the day bright and really early with our NY MSIA Rep, Wayde Binder. Now Wayde is a man-about-town…and boy does he know this town. So he escorts Cleora and me over to Peyards for some of the most flavorful and crispy croissants with, “mais oui!”, some double espressos and macchiatos. Yum. Then we catch a cab over to the conservatory gardens. So beautiful…I go from Lilac bush to lilac bush…white, dark violet, light violet, white and violet…bewitching scents and colors everywhere we look. Lest we get completely distracted from our work today, Wayde steers us back to a taxi and back to our hotel to begin our first Services day of our New York visit. Lesley joins us and soon we’re right in the rhythm of Services. Bruce and Elizabeth are now with us each one making strides in their learning.

Roger and Vincent take off with the equipment to set up for the workshop tonight which is being held at the Abigail Adams Annex. This historic building has been home to many Seminars and PTS classes. With Manny Stissi and Larry Brock they move quickly and get everything set up and tested with time left over for a little relaxing. At the end of Services, Cleora and I taxi over while Lesley decides to walk. John and Leigh have arrived there ahead of us and already John has started signing <a href="http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Blessings-Meditations-Reflections/dp/1893020460/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206488603&sr=1-1
“> You Are the Blessings books.

Melba Alhonte is a gracious greeter; she has invited many from the Insight community to attend this evening. About 40 some new people register. John signs close to 40 books and then it’s time for him to take us through experiencing that we are the blessings, no matter what. All around me after the event, I hear how touched people were by this evening’s presentation. Cleora and I are buzzed so we enjoy a little wind-down time with our NY friends, Caryn Kanzer and Joanie Beisel. The other staff each have their own special way of enjoying the rest of this evening. Then it’s back to the hotel for just a wee bit of email.

DAY 9 – NEW YORK

I have to do some exercise this morning. After a quick gym experience, I opt for breakfast in the room this morning, doing email in between chomps. Cleora takes to a neighborhood restaurant. I don’t hear much from the other troops. Then all hands on deck for Services before tonight’s Fundraiser Dinner and Q&A. Wayde, Joan Witkowski and Caryn Kanzer have co-conspired and created a beautiful ambience. Rose colored tulips with long green stems fill clear Chrystal vases. Piles of green granny smith apples make perfect counterpoints of color. The table is set elegantly. As the guests arrive to schmooze, John and Leigh welcome them, and John signs some more books too. While the guests are schmoozing, Cleora, Lesley and I in vain try to find a cab that can take us across town. Seems like there is a riot happening, or at least some kind of demonstration, that has things stopped up. After a walking a few blocks in heels, we finally accept the most practical offer of a bicycling carriage. Onlookers smile and enjoy the three of us piling into this “vehicle”. You should have seen the legs/calves on our cyclist. Whatever you may say, he got us to the Annex smoothly and easily…and we enjoyed our carriage/surrey type experience all the way.

The elegance of the table was matched by very good food…hmmm that risotto was soooo good. John and Leigh are seated in the middle while we staff are spread out on either end of the table. It’s fun to have catch up time with these wonderful friends and participants who have given so generously to support MSIA. After dessert is served John takes to the stage. It is 7:30pm. At 12:30am John gives a closing blessing. All along he has held the focus for each person before him, and we all have received a bounty of wisdom and grace as each question and answer is shared. With a final Baruch Bashan our high powered pack-up staff crew goes into motion and we are all packed up within just over an hour. Cleora, Lesley and I opt for a more conventional ride home in a taxi and are soon preparing for bed. The guys are pretty close behind us. I’m still so buzzed it’s hard to go to sleep…what better for that than a dose of emails. OK, it’s now 4am and I surrender to some horizontal time.

DAY 10 – NEW YORK

Today is our last day in New York. There are more Services to do and we are in a quieter place today, a little tired from our lack of sleep. Still Spirit does the work which makes the day fly by. This evening is a pack up night. We have a book salon event for John’s new book tonight. These events are usually private events hosted by loving enthusiastic friends who want to do their part in supporting J-R and John’s books getting out into the world. As the publicist, I get to go and watch how John ministers to all these new people who have been invited.

At John’s invitation some of the guests read from <a href="http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Blessings-Meditations-Reflections/dp/1893020460/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206488603&sr=1-1
“> You Are the Blessings and share how the particular passage they picked relates to them. I’m touched that so many spontaneously bring forward truths about themselves which brings us into an empathy and oneness. To me this is one of the most profound and effective ways to create opportunities for our friends and family to meet and experience the Traveler and the messages of Soul Transcendence.

I leave as John goes into booksigning mode; he is in the good hands of Leigh Taylor-Young and our beautiful hostess. Back at the hotel I start packing for tomorrow we drive to Stamford and begin our wonderful weekend events there. All seems pretty quiet with the staff as everyone is packing and doing a few emails before catching some sleep.

Click here to read Days 1 through 7 with Angel Gibson.

Click here to read Days 11 through 14 with Angel Gibson.

Click here to read Days 15 through 18 with Angel Gibson.

We’re full on in New York today for Services and then an Open Workshop this evening.
