Les girls and Vincent drive to Faith Rudisill’s home for Services. Faith and Peter have this beautiful house that just seems to have stairways that climb up and up and up, and even a back stairway into the kitchen — great fun. Faith and co-MSIA Rep, Betsy Washburne, greet us along with eager balancers-in-training Bruce and Elizabeth. We sign up for our Services schedule and away we go. Betsy fixes us a luscious lunch — her herb-roasted walnuts are scrumptious — and then it’s a quick afternoon. We grab a snack — I just love the dried mangos and the spelt almond torte — and then we head over to Rosemont College to prepare for John Morton to do a booksigning for his new <a href="http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Blessings-Meditations-Reflections/dp/1893020460/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206488603&sr=1-1
“> You Are the Blessings book and the Open MSIA Seminar.

Roger Wakefield and a trusty band of assistants including George and Marilyn Bullock, Alice Fisher, Ezra Mack, Sally Weaver, Charlie Lee, Stephanie and many others have been there for many hours preparing the physical room — and the energy is full of joyful, humming peace. Outside the room there is a fun frenzy of registration for the Seminar and book-buying and John’s booksigning table is heaped with books waiting for his special autographing with blessings. And before all this there’s an ordination too.

Once John arrives the buzz is heightened. John takes his time to sign with a personal blessing as many books as he can before it’s time for him to go start the Seminar. John Jurkofsky and Joyce Evans, our MC’s for the evening, warmly welcome the group, then Alexandra Bricklin and her family and Cheryl Mychaluk share with us their beautiful musical talents. The place has been prepared as John steps up and invites someone to read the introduction to his <a href="http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Blessings-Meditations-Reflections/dp/1893020460/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206488603&sr=1-1
“> You Are the Blessings book. That introduction ends with this reminder, “Now in whatever ways you live your life in this world, always know you are the Blessings.” John then offers the participants the opportunity to respond, comment or just share whatever came forward for them as the introduction was read. And so the group responded with heartfelt sharings and questions and John responding to these, lifting, sharing, clarifying as the evening continued until a final blessing was placed. But John was not finished yet, as he continued to sign all the books that we’re left leaving just a tad before staff finished packing up. What a Traveler!

Thank you to all who bought and supported the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Blessings-Meditations-Reflections/dp/1893020460/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206488603&sr=1-1
“> You Are the Blessings books sales, and to all who assisted in the ways you did to make this event go so smoothly and joyfully.

DAY 16 — PHILADELPHIA

OK, we’re a little sleepy today after such a full evening and then some late night emails. But hey, nothing a double espresso and a good breakfast can’t handle and that ever-present Spirit buoying us up. Again Monsieur Vincent and les gals head off to a shorter day of Services while Roger goes ahead to Tom and Barbara Knight-Meyer’s home to prepare the sound for the Fundraiser Dinner and Q&A this evening. We love having this event at Tom and Barbara’s lovely home which is out in the countryside.

When we Services staff arrive, the chefs — Lou and Linnie Tenaglia, Tony Giuliani, Cheryl Manzella and Elizabeth Zeitlyn — have been long at work making mouth-watering creations for us to sample. We schmooze during appetizers, enjoying catching up with our friends in the gentle late afternoon breezes and shade on the back veranda. Finally Elizabeth Frumin, our MC and coordinator for this event, welcomes John and all who attend and then invites Tom Meyers to bless us and the food. With his Baruch Bashan we happily fill our plates with the likes of filet and fish in divine sauces, and to top it off are delicious strawberries, whipped cream, homemade pound cake and chocolate truffles and even a wonderful variety of wheat-free cookies, and organic coffee and tea. Wow! and that’s just dinner.

The piece de resistance awaits us in the upper room — literally — as we go upstairs to start the Q&A portion of the evening. Five and a half hours later we’ve been fed bountifully spiritually with answers to questions we didn’t even know we had. And still John takes time to sign some more books that have magically appeared. We all grab some bites of the buffet still laid out as we help pack up the equipment and then head back into town. We girls start off in our car not realizing how spacey we are. Shortly we find that we are in a part of town that is new to us but not to our dear “Maggie” (Magellan navigator). With gales of laughter along the way we finally arrive at our hotel still ahead of the guys even though we went a new and unique route. And yes, a few more emails, and then the bliss of sleep.

DAY 17 — PHILADELPHIA

Well, John and Roger probably had an early shift today as they head off to the airport before the sun rises. We’re up not too much later for breakfast and another day of Services. OK, we’re a little dragging, but bit by bit our energy increases as we get closer to starting time. Then that wonderful miracle of Spirit and up we go. And the day does glide by. With many hugs and thanks we say goodbye. Our special loving thanks to Marilyn Bullock and Betsy Washburne, the co-Philadelphia MSIA Reps. Your careful attention to details truly showed us how God is in the details making the foundation strong and true for the Traveler’s and Spirit’s work to be done. Tonight is a quiet night as each of us pack and yes, more emails. We say our goodbyes as Lesley and Vincent will leave ahead of us early tomorrow morning.

DAY 18 – TO LOS ANGELES and TO D.C.

This morning Vincent and Lesley have their early morning rise and shine run to the airport for the 6AM plane. Cleora and I have a slightly later wake-up and do our last breakfast together before Cleora takes a taxi to the airport and I start the last Services in Philadelphia. Services are done for me just after mid-day and then I say farewell to Philadelphia and head to the train station for a weekend with my family in D.C. Our deep thanks to all who held us in the Light throughout our Northeast trip; please continue to journey with us in the Light as we prepare for our next trip, to the Southwest at the end of May.

Click here to read Days 1 through 7 with Angel Gibson.

Click here to read Days 8 through 10 with Angel Gibson.

Click here to read Days 11 through 14 with Angel Gibson.

Rain has stopped, the sun is shining and it’s a beautiful Spring day in Philadelphia.
