We are so grateful to be once again in divine fellowship with each other, with the Beloved, and centered in the Light at the MSIA Seminar and Q&A webcast with John Morton on May 29th. A hearty band of attendees filed into the Brentwood Ballroom at 2101 Wilshire, and took their seats.<\/p>\n

For a surprise treat, our Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Russell Bishop, who reminded everyone to turn off cell phones and beeping objects, then called us forward into the Light. As we chanted Ani-Hu (ancient Sanskrit words for empathy and God), we were aware of sweet peace, filling the room to the corners, and lifting our hearts.<\/p>\n

Russell introduced Barbara Wieland, who shared with us a painting by Gordon Dipple using a verse from the Bible, which inspired Barbara to write the beautiful song she sang and played for us, in both English and Spanish.<\/p>\n

Then Laren Bright was invited up to the stage to introduce a video segment from GPTV<\/a> (God Is Your Partner Television), featuring Laren Bright and his wife Penelope, discussing their experiences with Tithing and Seeding. Jsu Garcia also came up, telling us about the film Spiritual Warriors<\/a> which will be airing in June in Spain, France, Denmark, and England. He also announced the debut of the Spiritual Warriors<\/a> DVD, which will be available starting July 4th at MSIA’s annual Conference at the Universal Sheraton Hotel in Universal City, CA.<\/p>\n

Russell introduced John Morton as one with wisdom, humor and humanity. And John began by saying hello to all the quirky people (that would be us). He read from and talked a bit about his new book, \n“> You Are the Blessings<\/a>, which was recently a finalist is the National Indie Excellence Awards. He commented that some of what he does is promote kindness, and greater understanding. He referenced his previous occupation as forest ranger, in which he guarded natural resources, and said that the ultimate renewable resource is the Soul.<\/p>\n

He spoke a bit about his upcoming staff travels to Europe, and that the Internet evening previously scheduled for June 17th will be a re-broadcast of a previous webcast. (The 2101 Building will be open for the event, but it will not be a live broadcast.)<\/p>\n

John began the Question and Answer session with a request for some guidance about standing up for one’s self. He remarked that sometimes disintegration is perfect, since nothing is permanent in this world. Another question was regarding how to over-come “mind- chatter” during Spiritual Exercises (S.E.’s). <\/p>\n

John went on to give a blessing to a woman who was about to be married, and to a woman who was about to give birth. In answer to a question regarding how to be a more responsible co-creator with God, John advised acceptance, and to align with what is eternal, the ever-present joy.<\/p>\n

When he said “Baruch Bashan” (“The Blessings Aleady Are”), John brought his portion of the program to a close; Russell returned to the stage, made a few announcements, and the evening was complete.<\/p>\n

We love these Seminars. We love our Travelers, and the work that they do.<\/p>\n
