It’s 4:30pm, Saturday, April 4th, and we’re here at the Barnes and Noble Booksellers at the Grove (an amazing Disney-esque open mall) in Los Angeles to prepare for the launching of Dr. John-Roger<\/a><\/b> and Dr. Jsu Garcia’s Spiritual Warriors DVD<\/a><\/b>, and J-R’s new paperback version of Spiritual Warrior book<\/a><\/b> and his latest book, Timeless Wisdoms, Volume 2<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Some of Now Productions’ finest, Richard Price, Arissa Bright, Roger Wakefield assisted by Doug and Margarita Gibson are bringing in the sound cases. My stellar decorating and assisting crew made up of Timothea Stewart, Laura Mola, Jeeni and Howard Lawrence, Sharon Soeller, Jack Favor, Marc Rosenbaum, and Marjorie Eaton are on deck to do anything and everything to create a beautiful and Light-filled space for J-R and Jsu to be with us. William Brown, the Community Relations (and our Event) Manager has readied the space. We jump into high but easy-going speed and begin to decorate.<\/p>\n

The theme is Spiritual Warrior<\/i> and Timeless Wisdoms<\/i> and the colors are indigo, purples, light blues and gold. I love watching how everything comes together, how each person has their way of adding the perfect touch. In record time we are done, just waiting for the balloon cascade and the rest of the food delivery to arrive. There are a few experienced early birds who know to come ahead of time to get the choice seats. The buzz is starting to build! Zoe is out passing out the event postcards down the street at the Urth Melrose area. Then the balloons come…Wow! They’re just the right combination! David and Kelly Funk bring huge platters of wheat-free cookies-totally yum! Luz and Gabe arrive with the hot water for the tea – yeah! – and Urth Caffe arrives with the coffee and their delectable cookies–super yum! We’re ready now and just in time because J-R, Jsu and gang have been spotted and are making their way through the throng towards the stage area. And away we go!<\/p>\n

We’re welcomed to the store by M.J., one of the on-duty managers, and he welcomes and introduces Jsu and J-R. The group in unison jumps to their feet in an ovation for J-R. We’re so happy to have him with us this evening! Jsu bounces to the stage and with a divine comedy starts to break open love, joy and Lightness all around and through us, realizing at that moment that he seeded for this moment to be on stage with his traveler. When he asks for J-R to come up and join him, the love and delight just roll through the group towards J-R and is returned a thousand-fold to each of us sitting and standing there. J-R takes questions and answers and it’s beyond words to describe the gratitude we have to once again listen and receive from J-R. Amazing what J-R encompasses through his responses. <\/p>\n

All too soon, and yet perfectly so, we move into the book\/DVD buying and signing process. We enjoy the goodies and schmoozing with each other while waiting in line to have a few moments with J-R and Jsu at the signing table. What a festive and joyful air even as the long line continues on and on. J-R and Jsu hang in their ’til the very last person has had their book signed. We are grateful and happy and blessed that once again J-R has been amongst us, and we thank Jsu for his on-going demonstration and dedication to Spiritual Warrior-ship!<\/p>\n
