Fall can be magnificent as the combination of sun and cooler air bring this luminous quality to the reds, oranges, yellows and burgundy colors of the trees and their leaves. This was abundantly in display during our Fall staff trip to the Midwest and Toronto with John Morton<\/a>. Between the extraordinary beauty of nature, the smooth coordination of getting from plane to car to hotel and back to the airport, and the loving care of all our Midwest and Toronto MSIA<\/a> Reps and volunteers along the way, and the Traveler’s and Spirit’s umbrella, our trip was graced from beginning to end.

\nWe started with MSIA Services<\/a> in the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis with our ever-ready MSIA Rep there, Kathy Kornblum, making sure all was prepared each step of the way. We delighted in doing Services in the homes of Rose Hassing\/Jerry Pojar and at Kate Megan’s. They spoiled us no end with yummy food and lots of it.<\/p>\n

Then it seemed like a quick puddle jump over to Toronto where the MSIA Rep there, Kristina Beaubien opened her heart and home to provide Services for the Toronto community. A number of people jumped in to participate in hosting such as Bob Newans, and Bryn Waern once again opened her home to host a pot-luck dinner and taped J-R<\/a> seminar. It was so comfy to cuddle up after some good eats and watch a video of “vintage” J-R. Truly, home seminars are “gold”. At the end of the evening we floated back to the hotel with visions of J-R dancing in our heads, and feeling well-hugged and loved by all at the seminar.

Another quick flight and we land in Chicago locate our bags in a moment of Grace — as they were coming onto the carousel that was supposedly for another flight. Soon we find ourselves cruising out of Chicago in our rental car making quick tracks for Kalamazoo. We still get a tickle whenever we see or say Kalamazoo, such an unusual name. Still the friendliness and caring of the people there endures from year to year. Roger Wakefield, our trusty NOW Productions crew member arrives. People gather at our hotel checking in, getting Services and the excitement builds as the weekend and the Traveler, John Morton<\/a> with the lovely Leigh approach.<\/p>\n

Literally off the plane on Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles, John and Leigh have had less than 18 hours to arrive back in the States from Europe, re-pack and get on a flight for Kalamazoo the next early morning. Leigh gets a little extra excitement and Spiritual Warrior opportunities as her lovely coat is having it’s own adventure in the Chicago airport and she tries to catch back up with it. Finally she surrenders it into God’s hands and follows John to Kalamazoo. As grace would have it, the evening’s workshop is the Sacred Tones workshop which affords ample opportunity to stop, breathe, let go into the blessings of the sacred chanting and vibrations of God.<\/p>\n

This continues in richer measure with the Spiritual Exercises<\/a> workshop on Saturday and Sunday. On breaks there is much loving fellowship as our MSIAers from all around the Midwest catch up on sharing, loving and laughing.

\nWell, the Traveler<\/a> ain’t called the Traveler for nothing. No sooner is the workshop done then the Traveler and his beautiful partner are on their way to the Kalamazoo airport and more travel. Cleora, Roger and I take advantage of a free night to walk around downtown Kalamazoo and catch a movie–a rare treat!<\/p>\n

The next day John and Leigh join our little threesome in St. Louis. Ah, it’s one of those days for me where I’m feeling electronically and physically challenged, but hey, I surrender and go to Starbucks where my computer happily lights up, downloads and in general is a happy camper, allowing me to keep current with logistics for this trip and the trip coming up. Sleep is welcome and the night seems short as we jump up the next morning to do Services for the next two days at Marcy and Miriam Goldstein’s home. Already I can smell the turkey roasting and the atmosphere is that warm loving aura of Thanksgiving, just for us. So wonderful to catch up with the Goldsteins, the McBrides and the Commerfords that are the pillars of this grand old St. Louis community. Roger in the meantime is off to set up for the Q&A tonight. As we catch up to them after Services, we delight in the welcoming arms of long-time buddies. It’s a small group, but a cozy and tender group that open their hearts creating a sweet space for the Traveler to be with us.

\nThe next day after more Services, Cleora and I take another puddle-jumper flight back to Chicago. John and Leigh have blazed the way before us, even as Roger is winging back to Los Angeles to prepare for the webcast the coming weekend. Cleora and I get to do Services at the Lever’s home and once again share laughs and lunches with more good buddies. Mary Shimandle has worked carefully to organize the Service schedule which goes smoothly. Gary Goldman and Elaine Lampert have worked together to organize and execute all the logistics for this evening’s workshop, an open Finding Peace in Today’s World workshop that John and Leigh facilitate at the Unity Church. What an interesting building that was built early in this century modeled after Wimbledon. With it’s wooden arches and dark wood panels it does seem from a different era. Jay, our host at Unity church, warmly welcomes us and the workshop gets underway. Always it is good to be refreshed in remembering the process of Peace…I always love hearing the phrase that “Peace is the cessation of againstness.” It’s fun to watch new timers jump into the exercises and flock around the products table, happy to have more information and experiences with the Traveler’s Teachings. John visits and signs books with Leigh right by his side.

\nAll too soon the evening comes to an end with radiant faces still hugging and saying Thank you. Cleora and I have just a little more to do and then we also bid goodbye to Chicago to go back to the West Coast.<\/p>\n

We completed the trip with many memories of loving, assistance, fellowship, grace, beauty, joy and laughter that speaks of the Soul of this community at large. We are so grateful for all that was shared, for all that went into the detailed preparations, for all that was given from the essences, and for the Traveler’s participation in and amongst us.<\/p>\n
