A lot of people say a lot of things, but are not capable of delivering divine essence, and it's that ability that's important. The reason we meet and come together with a spiritual focus is to open up the channels that can receive of the essence of Spirit. The part of us that receives of Spirit is so vast that we could meet together for a millennium and never be satiated.

When you partake in outer loving and outer blessings, it really is a time to praise and to be thankful that the inner blessing could also take place outside of you.

Question: What's the difference between smoking dope or taking some form of drugs, and drinking alcohol? Answer: The only difference is that alcohol goes out of the aura and out of the system faster. Drugs have an accumulating effect. Drugs hang in the aura. Alcohol doesn't. I've seen people who may have smoked one joint of marijuana a year ago and I can still see the effects of that in their aura. It's still there after long periods of time. And it will still affect that person. But someone could have been very, very drunk two or three weeks ago, and I'll not be able to see that in the aura at all. I could see it if I were to go into Soul Consciousness and backtrack through their experiences, but I couldn't see it just by observing the aura. That's the difference that I can observe.

The best way to check out the value of service is by being of service to someone or some group that isn't part of your usual domestic or vocational life. Go to a home for the blind and read to them. Go to an old age home and talk to some of the lonely, dear people. Go to a veteran's hospital and play cards with some of the guys there. Go to a children's hospital and just hold a child and tell them stories. Type letters, stuff envelopes, do whatever is required for an organization whose entire existence is based on sharing unconditional loving. Any of these acts is guaranteed to do two things: (1) assist those in need, and (2) lighten and make things easier and more joyful for you and, as a result, more joyful for anyone who comes in contact with you.

Eternal vigilance is the password for forgiveness: the constant state of awareness where no harm is meant or intended for anything.

Let's look at ruthlessness again. Spiritual Warriors are utterly ruthless about what they bring into their consciousness. They take the Sword of Truth, cut swiftly and cleanly though all that is extraneous, all the superficialities, the mindsets and addictions that hold them back. This is the Sword of the Heart, the spiritual heart, the heart of our wisdom. As you cut through the waste matter of your life, you may feel resistant and uncomfortable; you may be spacey, sleepy, antsy or distracted. Never fear. Someone once said, "If you don't feel awkward doing something new, you are not doing something new."

John-Roger, DSS
Your lower nature will drive you toward accomplishing things and attaining recognition in the world. Your higher nature will direct you into and through experiences that enlighten and nurture your being by utilizing everything that you do or that happens to you in the world as a means of learning and growing.

John Morton, DSS
The spiritual path is easy; it is the only path there is. It's difficult when you attempt to separate yourself from the spiritual. Then you experience confusion, upset, and turmoil. When you experience these difficulties, it is God indicating through Spirit that you have stepped from the reality of your true self. When you come back into the oneness of Spirit, you find out that the blessings already are. All that you want to be, you already are. All you have to do is move your awareness there and recognize the reality of your own Soul.

There will be indicators of man's evolutionary progression -- evolutionary in terms of going within to know all the levels with which we are involved while in the physical body: first, the physical; then, the imagination, the emotions, the mind, the unconscious and the Soul. When you have established that awareness within, then you can move to the outer levels and find that the outer spiritual world directly aligns with the inner kingdom. And at that point, you understand what it is all about. The understanding surpasses everything and brings with it peace and tranquility.

God is the perfect lover. All else is imperfect, and yet is perfect because it is part of God. Some part is always perfect, some thought is always magnificent, some deed is always charitable.
