J-R speaks about karma, using a vivid picture of how it works for us. “A karmic flow,” he says, “looks like a volcano. And the karma comes up from someplace deep within, exploding out. If you’re on the volcano and you’re screaming, that’s not going to save you. You just better get out of the way of the karmic flow. If you stay there, whether it’s yours or not, it will be yours. And you may not like it, but it’s still going to be yours.”<\/p>\n
“You can never see your own karmic flow,” he goes on, “because we think nothing will happen to us. Each one of us thinks, ‘I would never do that. Then when our time comes, we do that because we can’t see the consequences of the karmic flow. That’s why we need people we can love and trust to tell us what they see going on. That’s called the Spiritual Community.”<\/p>\n
