As he often does, John-Roger begins this seminar by taking a look at some of those conditions that keep our lives from working the way we\u2019d like. He names them. \u201cAlienation, separation, polarization, loneliness of consciousness, dark night of the Soul. We sense and feel those,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
And where do all those dark experiences come from? J-R continues, \u201cIf we go back to primal causes then we have to go back through existences to pick up the threads that come down through. How do they function? \u2018I want to do something, but I don\u2019t know what it is I want to do, but I don\u2019t want to do what I\u2019m doing.\u2019 \u201d Sound familiar?<\/p>\n
There comes a point in each seminar at which J-R turns to the thing we want to hear: what to do about our restless searching. \u201cWhat we have to do then is stop that questing,\u201d he says, \u201cand try to see more of God\u2019s Radiant Light in the world. Then we want to let in more Light so we can picture what it is we\u2019re seeing.\u201d And with that statement, J-R
\nencourages us to accept ourselves as creations of God in all our foibles and diversities. \u201cOne of the ways of knowing the answer to \u2018Am I doing God\u2019s will?\u2019 is to ask, \u2018What am I receiving?\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
