You know those folks who tell you that they’re able to see auras or other psychic phenomena? Did you ever have the thought that they can do something you can’t and maybe there’s something wrong with you? Here’s a seminar from John-Roger in which he speaks about that ability and what it means spiritually.<\/p>\n
“Often,” he says, “the idea behind phenomena is, ‘Look at me. How great I am. I can do all these things and you can’t.’ And it becomes just a little bit of an ego trip. I don’t mean to say that psychic ability is no good. It’s a tool much like your hand is a tool, to assist the overall unit. But we have to use it to lift ourselves, to fulfill ourselves, to be a little selfish maybe, so that you’re full inside, and you have joy and a sense of beingness and oneness.” <\/p>\n
Then J-R focuses on service as the outcome of empathy…that way of spiritually identifying with someone in order to unfold yourself and be of service to mankind. “When you become a torch-bearer to individuals,” J-R says, “then is when you are fulfilling your divine destiny.”<\/p>\n
