One of the primary functions of the Traveler is to undermine your search, confound your wisdom, irritate your mind and and release you from the bondage of illusion to the glory of your Soul. When you don’t care and give up, you become the Traveler’s representative.<\/p>\n

The whole myth of Narcissus is about one who fabricates,” John-Roger says sometime in this seminar. “Can you imagine the problem that Narcissus had? Here you are the most beautiful being in the world. You\u2019ve got everything going for you. Everybody loves you… and then you see a mirror image of yourself in a pond. From then on, that\u2019s all you want to do: look at your image in the water. You\u2019re Narcissus the Fantastic, and now you\u2019re looking at a fabrication of who you are. I really feel sorry for Narcissus, to think he\u2019s got all that and he\u2019s not sharing it; he’s loving the reflection, instead of loving the beingness.\u201d<\/p>\n
J-R’s story of Narcissus tells us the theme of this seminar. The work of the Mystical Traveler (the energy J-R refers to as being stable as the North Star) is to help us move from the stuck places of admiring ourselves, although that might look more like needing attention from others, or judging ourselves or others, or living to please someone else.<\/p>\n
The Traveler’s work assists us to find God within ourselves by bringing ourselves to that experience of Who we are. As J-R says, “If where you are at this particular point has not produced a blissful consciousness and awareness of the multi-dimensions of God and the unity of all things, then you darn well better give up your approach because you can\u2019t get there from where you are.
